There are many typed of Christian religions and not all try to spread the word.

Yes Islam is growing fast but it's an offshoot of Judeasm (same as Christianity is).

Islam comes from Abraham who had sex with his maid (and not his wife) and had a kid and that kid started Islam. Isn't that called "cheating"?

I have never once had a Muslim try to influence how I feel about religion or life. There are 4 Muslims living next door and they never, ever talk about religion. Christians are a total other story. Daily on facebook, for example, people are asking me to pray for them or offering prayers. All I want is for people to leave me alone when it comes to religion. Muslims do that. Christians do not.

I don't like Islam any more than I like Christianity, but I live in a predominantly Christian country where Christians are actively trying to influence my children through control of the Board of Education and other government agencies. If a Muslim group was trying to stop my children from receiving a proper education I would be angry at them as well.

It largely depends on WHERE said conversion is happening. A lot of amuricans are turning to islam because the sh*tshow that is christianity has been declawed, to the point of people not even going to churches. My countrymen are not smart people. They need a structured religious guide, or they feel lost, and islam offers that. You shouldn't be surprised to find that most converts converted because they believe the 'media lies' about how atrocious islam really is. Christians LOVE martyrs, and it's hard to be the martyr when you're the majority that's never opposed. Playing the victim is what they want to do, and they do it well...too well. Unfortunately for christians, nobody is buying the 'they're bashing mah religionz' act.



Converts to islam in the west are primarily voluntary. Converts to christianity are rare, but in the middle east, it's becoming more and more common. Christians LOVE talking about arabian christians. They're playing the victim vicariously.



Now while the attempts to get christianity to grow in the west are largely ineffective to counteract the people deconverting, they still exist. And they're still quite numerous. They're the only reason we haven't seen a larger shift in belief, but eventually, like every other offshoot of that miserable cult, they'll die off too. There are only so many suckers in 'murica.

What does religion have to do with liberalism, and where did you get the idea that all liberals (or all conservatives for that matter) are required to agree on every issue? You have a dangerously intolerant and partisan mindset that prevents working with others to accomplish what needs to be done.



As for the rubbish that liberals accept the excesses of Islam while opposing those of Christianity, you do every liberal an injustice that once again shows more about your narrow attitudes and bad information sources. Most liberals, like most reasonable people of all political beliefs, find aggressive evangelism to be intrusive and in bad taste regardless of the faith being advanced.



You need to question your current news sources if this is what they are teaching you, because media that lie to you about one thing will certainly lie about other things as well.

I don't have to deal with Muslims regularly in my day to day life, and even when I do, they are not the vast, vast majority, and do not have power and authority, and are not trying to force their silly beliefs into my schools, my public places and my laws.



But hey, since you think Islam is the fastest growing religion...why aren't you converting? I mean...one of your arguments is always that most people believe in a god, so the majority must be right, right?

Christians are the ones trying to force their delusions on everyone. Christians try to get laws passed based on their delusions and destory education with their intelligent design nonsense. Muslims, where I'm from, keep to themselves and don't try to influence government policy. If Muslims started to act like Christians I would be mad at them too.

Overwhelmingly, you're simply whatever religion your parents are. They indoctrinate you from birth and tell you that it is unquestionable. Islam is growing fast because adherents to Islam are having babies at a higher rate than non-Muslims.



That said, I don't care much about the spread of Christianity or Islam. I care about who is legislating my life based on the Bible. What I mean by coercion is any time of Levitical or Mosaic (or Sharia) law. There should be none of that in the United States.
