Jehovah's Witnesses, what do you think of the new song books?

Question

Are you excited about Jan, when we can start using them? Is there any songs that you would have liked to of seen kept? And what is your favorite song in the new song book? I know it's been asked before of the favorite song, but now, I'm asking of the New Song book. Agape all, and always stay with Jehovah God.

If anyone else has a new song book, you're more than welcomed to answer too, and state your favorite song.

I hope you get more answers to this question than I did when I asked it a couple of weeks ago. I love the new songs. My favorite is "My Father, My God and Friend". There are many other beautiful ones that come close, like "God's Wondrous Works" and "He Will Call". The one I will miss from the current songbook is "Make Sure of the More Important Things". The melody was beautiful.



Since September I've been listening to the disk of vocal arrangements I downloaded from the Watchtower website, so I know those 16 songs quite well.

My wife had me make sure we still had the music to the old song book. We can still sing those at private activities. ;)



I love the Victory Song, even though it is reworded. (since the Drama way back when my kids were little, it has been our favorite song)

We had our Assembly in November, and you know they print a generic Program schedule, that can be used at all Assemblies, with just the title of the talks and the songs' #. I noticed that we didn't sing any songs above the top song # in the new song book. :)

The new songs are awesome! I love the re-arrangement of song 102 "Join in the Kingdom Song"! It has a great jazz touch to it! I love playing song #47 (old song #6) "Declare the Good News" on the piano that one too has a great arrangement. Song 134 "See Yourself When All Is New" has amazing words and really makes me think when the great tribulation is over and our first day in the new system of things! Very touching song! My absolute favorite one is still in the new book with the same song # too. It's song # 34 "Living up to our name"!



I will greatly miss song # 92 "Preach with boldness" I still love playing it on the piano though!

Yes! The first time we use them will be at our circuit assembly Jan. 2,3. Can't wait. =)

Reo said they removed one of his faves, I would be upset also. I checked to see if Loyal Love was still there and it is....whew!

My new favourite Song is 133. And yep, I'm very excited about singing the new songs!!! ;-)
