Jesus is the son of and is God. As for Jesus talking to himself on the cross it's just Jesus asking the father to forgive them. The Father forgives, through the son, and brings the holy spirit. (Or something like that)

There is only one God, and I know it is confusing but here is an example (and i know it wont make much sense at first but bear with me) : Somewhere in Russia there is a forest that all the trees are of the same type and all look different but theres a catch, they are all ONE organism, its true and u can google it if u want. All the trees are in different places, look different and serve different purposes (some get water, others collect sunlight) but they are all in sync with each other and are all part of one another and its the same with the trinity. Each of them is different and serve a different purpose. Jesus was the forgiveness, the father forgives and the holy spirit comes to the christian who has received forgiveness, and they are all the same thing. Oh and since its christmas time remember Jesus is the reason for the season :)

The problem is the story of Jesus in the Bible evolved... the Jewish Messiah was never supposed to be the son of God or God. He was supposed to be a fully human leader. As the idea took hold of this 'son of God' thing, then moving on to the concept of the 'trinity' (which also doesn't exist in Judaism) either developed making Jesus both son and part of "God" at the same time.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, He is not God the Farther. The two are separate and distinct individuals, the same as any father and son are. Jesus is God in that He is a God and He has received a fullness of the Father. That means that the Father has given the Son all power, both in heaven and earth, and every other attribute and perfection which He has. The scriptures say that there is one God, but this does not mean one in physical personage. They are one in mind and will. Everything that the Father would say, the Son would also say, or anything that the Father would do, the Son does. When the Son works, it is by the power and authority of the Father. (see John 5) All of these unite the Godhead and it is as though they are one, though they are three separate and distinct individuals.

The Bible tells us that The Son (Jesus) is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being Hebrews 1:3

John reiterates the concept of Jesus’ deity: “The Word [Jesus] was God” and “the Word became flesh” (John 1:1, 14). These verses clearly indicate that Jesus is God in the flesh. Acts 20:28 " Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, TO CARE FOR THE CHURCH OF GOD, WHICH HE OBTAINED WITH HIS OWN BLOOD."

it tells us, “Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.” Who bought the church with His own blood? Jesus did! And this same verse declares that God purchased His church with His own blood. Therefore, Jesus is God!

Thomas the disciple declared concerning Jesus, “My Lord and my God” (John 20:28). Jesus does not correct him. Titus 2:13 encourages us to wait for the coming of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ (see also 2 Peter 1:1). In Hebrews 1:8, the Father declares of Jesus, “But about the Son he says, ‘Your throne, O God, will last forever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.’” The Father refers to Jesus as “O God,” indicating that Jesus is indeed God.

In Revelation, an angel instructed the apostle John to only worship God (Revelation 19:10). Several times in Scripture Jesus receives worship (Matthew 2:11; 14:33; 28:9, 17; Luke 24:52; John 9:38). He never rebukes people for worshiping Him. If Jesus were not God, He would have told people to not worship Him, just as the angel in Revelation did.

The most important reason that Jesus has to be God is that, if He is not God, His death would not have been sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). A created being, which Jesus would be if He were not God, could not pay the infinite penalty required for sin against an infinite God. Only God could pay such an infinite penalty. Only God could take on the sins of the world (2 Corinthians 5:21), die, and be resurrected, proving His victory over sin and death.

"If Jesus was God, how could He pray to God? Was Jesus praying to Himself?"

Jesus is the Son of God, The Living Word of God, but not God Almighty. If he were, the Bible would fall apart. God and His Son Jesus have several similarities, but one dissimilarity disproves identity.

Matthew 19:16, 17 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Heb 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

VS.

Jas 1:13, 14 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

THERE are many famous people in the world. Some are well-known in their own community, city, or country. Others are known worldwide. However, just knowing the name of someone famous does not mean that you truly know him. It does not mean that you know details about his background and what he is really like as a person.

2 People around the world have heard something about Jesus Christ, even though he lived on earth some 2,000 years ago. Yet, many are confused about who Jesus really was. Some say that he was merely a good man. Others claim that he was nothing more than a prophet. Still others believe that Jesus is God and should be worshiped. Should he?

3 It is important for you to know the truth about Jesus. Why? Because the Bible says: “This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.” (John 17:3) Yes, knowing the truth about Jehovah God and about Jesus Christ can lead to everlasting life on a paradise earth. (John 14:6) Furthermore, Jesus sets the best example of how to live and how to treat others. (John 13:34, 35) In the first chapter of this book, we discussed the truth about God. Now let us consider what the Bible really teaches about Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that Jesus lived in heaven before he came to earth. Micah prophesied that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem and also said that His origin was “from early times.” (Micah 5:2) On many occasions, Jesus himself said that he lived in heaven before being born as a human. (John 3:13; 6:38, 62; 17:4, 5) As a spirit creature in heaven, Jesus had a special relationship with Jehovah.

11 Jesus is Jehovah’s most precious Son—and for good reason. He is called “the firstborn of all creation,” for he was God’s first creation.* (Colossians 1:15) There is something else that makes this Son special. He is the “only-begotten Son.” (John 3:16) This means that Jesus is the only one directly created by God. Jesus is also the only one whom God used when He created all other things. (Colossians 1:16) Then, too, Jesus is called “the Word.” (John 1:14) This tells us that he spoke for God, no doubt delivering messages and instructions to the Father’s other sons, both spirit and human.

12 Is the firstborn Son equal to God, as some believe? That is not what the Bible teaches. As we noted in the preceding paragraph, the Son was created. Obviously, then, he had a beginning, whereas Jehovah God has no beginning or end. (Psalm 90:2) The only-begotten Son never even considered trying to be equal to his Father. The Bible clearly teaches that the Father is greater than the Son. (John 14:28; 1 Corinthians 11:3) Jehovah alone is “God Almighty.” (Genesis 17:1) Therefore, he has no equal.*

13 Jehovah and his firstborn Son enjoyed close association for billions of years—long before the starry heavens and the earth were created. How they must have loved each other! (John 3:35; 14:31) This dear Son was just like his Father. That is why the Bible refers to the Son as “the image of the invisible God.” (Colossians 1:15) Yes, even as a human son may closely resemble his father in various ways, this heavenly Son reflected his Father’s qualities and personality.

14 Jehovah’s only-begotten Son willingly left heaven and came down to earth to live as a human. But you may wonder, ‘How was it possible for a spirit creature to be born as a human?’ To accomplish this, Jehovah performed a miracle. He transferred the life of his firstborn Son from heaven to the womb of a Jewish virgin named Mary. No human father was involved. Mary thus gave birth to a perfect son and named him Jesus.—Luke 1:30-35.

By virtue of him being the only begotten Son of God he is God. He posseses the same divine nature as his Father and thus like the Father is God. Since you and I both have a human nature we both are human. If we had a divine nature we would also be God. Anyone with a divine nature is God. Because that is what it means to say something is God, to say it is divine. But when we say this we say nothing about God's identity. With God there is only one divine nature, but the 3 Persons each posses it, yet each are distinct in identify.

A 'person' speaks of who someone is or its identity. A 'nature' speaks of what someone or something is. If you can grasp that concept you will be on your way to avoiding many philosophical errors.

Thus when we say Jesus is God we are talking about his nature. Jesus is the identity. 'is God' is the nature.

Just like when I say John is human. I am not equating John and human and saying every human is john. I am really saying John is a human because he possesses a human nature.

Similarly, when we say Jesus is God we are not saying God and Jesus are identical. Because for one God is 3 Persons, not just Jesus alone. We are saying Jesus is a divine Person of the Trinity. Because there is only one divine nature the 3 Persons each possess that one nature. Thus, we can say there is one God (or divine nature), but 3 Persons who each possess it.

When we speak of the person of Jesus we are actually speaking of someone who has both a human and a divine nature. So he is truly God and truly man.

Each of the 3 Persons are distinct and can thus speak to one another. In the case of Jesus he has also a human nature and thus his human nature while it is limited can learn and pray to God.

Jesus referred to himself as “God’s Son” or “the Son of God.” (John 10:36; 11:4) Jesus never identified himself as Almighty God.

Also, Jesus prayed to God. (Matthew 26:39) And while teaching his followers how to pray, Jesus said: “Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified.”—Matthew 6:9.

Jesus revealed God’s name when he quoted an ancient passage of Scripture and said: “Hear, O Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.”—Mark 12:29; Deuteronomy 6:4.

In order to determine whether Jesus is God, or the son of God, all scriptures regarding this must agree in union. If there is no unity between one belief, the other must be true.

Many scriptures show that Jesus is the Son of, separate, and distinct from Jehovah, the God of the Bible, as the following proves in both the Old and New Testaments:

What the Bible says:

▪ “My Father is greater than I [Jesus].”—John 14:28.*If Jesus was a Trinity, and part of an equal Godhead, how could God be greater than him?

▪ “I [Jesus] ascend unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and your God.”—John 20:17.

▪ “To us there is but one God, the Father.”—1 Corinthians 8:6.

▪ “Blessed be the God and Father OF our Lord Jesus Christ.”—1 Peter 1:3. (Caps added)

▪ “These things saith the Amen [Jesus], . . . the beginning of the creation of God.”—Revelation 3:14. (Jesus was created by God).

(Ps 83:18) “May people know that you, whose name is Jehovah (or Yahweh), You alone are the Most High over all the earth.”

"However, clerics say that the Father, the Son, and the holy spirit are one God. But that is an assault on the sovereignty of Jehovah*, making it seem that he is triune—in effect, only one third of a supposed godhead." But the Bible says: “Listen, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.” (Deut. 6:4).

The answer to your apparent two questions is ABSOLUTELY yes! Jesus is God AND the Son of God. The Spirit of Jesus is God. His body while on earth was man. When He died and rose again, He took up His SPIRITUAL body again, just as we will when He returns. The difference is that Jesus is God and WE are humans and HIS creation.

Does the identity of God have to be “a very profound mystery”? It did not seem so to Jesus. In his prayer to his Father, Jesus made a clear distinction between him and his Father when he said: “This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.” (John 17:3) If we believe Jesus and understand the plain teaching of the Bible, we will respect him as the divine Son of God that he is. We will also worship Jehovah as “the only true God.”

Jesus is the Son of God and has been ever since he proceeded from God the Father before the earth was created . Before that Jesus was part of God. Jesus is made of the same substance as God , so he is God the Son. It is the same with humans. A male born of a human is a human too. Originally Jesus was in the bosom position of the Father as John 1:18 says.

Many people will say that Jesus is God Almighty but Jesus always referred to his Father as the One whose will he was doing:

John 12:49 For I have not spoken of my own initiative, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment about what to say and what to speak.---Here Jesus is telling us he doesn't even speak his ideas on his own but he promotes what his Father says.

John 12:27-28 Now I am troubled, and what should I say? Father, save me out of this hour. Nevertheless, this is why I have come to this hour. Father, glorify your name.” Then a voice came out of heaven: “I have glorified it and will glorify it again.”---Jesus talking to his Father asking him for deliverance why would he be talking to himself, (that would be illogical)? Then asks God to glorify his own name. Why would he do that if they were the same person?

John 14:28 You heard that I said to you, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I am.---Jesus clearly stating that his Father is greater than him, a perfect opportunity for Jesus to glorify himself as God Almighty but he does not, because he is not.

John 3:16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.--- Here the Bible says that God sent his son, this was a another perfect opportunity for it to be revealed that God was coming down himself to save mankind.

Jesus saying that God is His Father does not make Jesus equal to God. My right arm is one with my body but that does not make my right arm equal to my body nor does it make my right arm my body. If my right arm could talk and say, He who has seen me has seen the body does not mean that my right arm is my body. My right arm could accurately say it was "body" but not that it was "The body". People read all kinds of things into what Jesus said but not accurately what He said. If you read the 4 Gospels and what Jesus actually said about Himself you would know His relationship with His father,l The Almighty God, "Yahweh".

One of the problems is that many churches, Pastors, and Ministers are anti Semitic and want to have people believe that Jesus is the one and only God and so say things that aren't true to separate Jesus from His Jewishness and God from the Old Testament.

Yes I do believe that Jesus is the son of God and my Christian denomination is Catholic. Whenever I want to prove it, I go to the new testament for it. God is a triune God...God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit...all

are God...and each are separate personalities with separate roles. God the Father

sent His only Son, to be born of a virgin, with God as His Father...just so that He

could die for us, and take on our punishment for sin. He was the Only One Who

could do so, and then conquer death itself.

Then God says "choose my Son", and live. It is our free choice...no one is forced

to love Him....or follow Him. A Christian is a "Christ follower".

Jesus’ opposers accused him of making himself equal to God. (John 5:18; 10:30-33) However, Jesus never claimed to be on the same level as Almighty God. He said: “The Father is greater than I am.”—John 14:28.

Jesus’ early followers did not view him as being equal to Almighty God. For example, the apostle Paul wrote that after Jesus was resurrected, God “exalted him [Jesus] to a superior position.” Obviously, Paul did not believe that Jesus was Almighty God. Otherwise, how could God exalt Jesus to a superior position? —Philippians 2:9.

The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus is Gods son, and NOT God himself!

The reason why people think Jesus is God is because they have adopted a pagan teaching that dates back to Babylon and Egypt. So here are a few thing to consider:

Jesus in Praying to HIS FATHER said: "This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ. John 17: 3. So listen to what the son says when he calls his father THE ONLY TRUE GOD!

The first century Christians taught the same when they preached for example 1 Cor 15: 24-28 where we see in Vs 24 that Jesus has a GOD AND FATHER and that in Vs 28 he SUBJECTS himself to his God & Father!

Here are a few more things to think about, , "

The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him." (John 13:16) Jesus said on numerous occasions that, "the Father… hath sent me." (John 5:37,6:37)

Jesus prays to God. (John 17:1-3)

Jesus has faith in God. (Hebrews 2:17,18, Hebrews 3:2)

Jesus is a servant of God. (Acts 3:13)

Jesus does not know things God knows. (Mark 13:32, Revelation 1:1)

Jesus worships God. (John 4:22)

Jesus has one who is God to him. (Revelation 3:12)

Jesus is in subjection to God. (1 Corinthians 15:28)

Jesus' head is God. (1 Corinthians 11:1)

Jesus has reverent submission, fear, of God. (Hebrews 5:7)

Jesus is given lordship by God. (Acts 2:36)

Jesus is exalted by God.(Acts 5:31)

Jesus is made high priest by God. (Hebrews 5:10)

Jesus is given authority by God. (Philippians 2:9)

Jesus is given kingship by God. (Luke 1:32,33)

Jesus is given judgment by God. (Acts 10:42)

"God raised [Jesus] from the dead". (Acts 2:24, Romans 10:9, 1 Corinthians 15:15)

Jesus is at the right hand of God. (Mark 16:19, Luke 22:69, Acts 2:33, Romans 8:34)

Jesus is the one human mediator between the one God and man. (1 Timothy 2:5)

No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. (1 John 4:12)

God put everything, except Himself, under Jesus. (1 Corinthians 15:24-28)

Jesus did not think being "equal with God" was graspable. (Philippians 2:6)

"Around the ninth hour, Jesus shouted in a loud voice, saying "Eli Eli lama sabachthani?" which is, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"" (Matthew 27:46)

Who Is Jesus Christ?

IMAGINE how excited a young Jew named Andrew must have been when he first listened to the words of Jesus of Nazareth! The Bible states that Andrew rushed to his brother and said: “We have found the Messiah [or, Christ].” (John 1:41) In the Hebrew and Greek languages, the words usually translated “Messiah” and “Christ” mean “Anointed One.” Jesus was the Anointed One, or the Chosen One of God—the promised Leader. (Isaiah 55:4) The Scriptures contained prophecies concerning him, and the Jews at the time were in expectation of him.—Luke 3:15.

How do we know that Jesus really was God’s Chosen One? Well, consider what happened in the year 29 C.E. when Jesus was 30 years of age. He went to John the Baptizer to be baptized by him in the waters of the Jordan River. The Bible states: “After being baptized Jesus immediately came up from the water; and, look! the heavens were opened up, and he saw descending like a dove God’s spirit coming upon him. Look! Also, there was a voice from the heavens that said: ‘This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.’” (Matthew 3:16, 17) After hearing those words of approval, could John have had any doubt that Jesus was God’s Chosen One? By pouring out His holy spirit on Jesus, Jehovah God anointed him, or appointed him, to be the King of His coming Kingdom. Thus, Jesus became Jesus Christ, or Jesus the Anointed One. In what way, though, was Jesus God’s Son? What was his origin?

His Origin Was “From Early Times”

Jesus’ life course might be divided into three stages. The first began long before his human birth. His origin was “from early times, from the days of time indefinite,” says Micah 5:2. Jesus himself said: “I am from the realms above”—that is, from heaven. (John 8:23) He had been in heaven as a mighty spirit person.

Since all created things had a beginning, there was a time when God was alone. Countless ages ago, however, God became a Creator. Who was his first creation? The last book of the Bible identifies Jesus as “the beginning of the creation by God.” (Revelation 3:14) Jesus is “the firstborn of all creation.” That is so “because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible.” (Colossians 1:15, 16) Yes, Jesus was the only one directly created by God himself. Therefore, he is called God’s “only-begotten Son.” (John 3:16) The firstborn Son also bears the title “the Word.” (John 1:14) Why? Because before being born as a human, he served in heaven as one who spoke for God.

“The Word” was with Jehovah God “in the beginning,” when “the heavens and the earth” were created. He was the one to whom God said: “Let us make man in our image.” (John 1:1; Genesis 1:1, 26) Jehovah’s firstborn Son was there at his Father’s side, actively working with him. At Proverbs 8:22-31, he is represented as saying: “I came to be beside [the Creator] as a master worker, and I came to be the one he was specially fond of day by day, I being glad before him all the time.”

How intimately Jehovah God and his only-begotten Son must have come to know each other as they worked side by side! That close association with Jehovah for untold ages deeply affected God’s Son. This obedient Son came to be just like his Father, Jehovah. In fact, Colossians 1:15 calls Jesus “the image of the invisible God.” This is one reason why knowledge about Jesus is vital in satisfying our spiritual need and our natural desire to know God. Everything Jesus did while on earth is exactly what Jehovah expected him to do. Hence, getting to know Jesus also means increasing our knowledge of Jehovah. (John 8:28; 14:8-10) But how did Jesus come to be on earth?

There is no rational answer to your question. Paul/Luke created the Jesus myth. Christians adopted it. Until God appears or is found you can believe any story you choose. D

God is light and light is energy. I do believe we are all apart of it or there would be no life. You cant have any life without energy. But I think once you cross over into the light, after you die...then you are no longer a soul on your own, you are apart of the light. So Jesus, you, me and every living thing is apart of this light, or a spark of it while in body. If you choose to have the Christ Consciousness that is up to you. Not everyone wants to be so divine and fine like me.

John 17:3; {Jesus prayed to his Father;} This is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God {" who alone art truly God,"} and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent." (Notice that Jesus referred not to himself but to his Father in heaven as "The only true God.")

As we read John 1:1, what did the apostle John mean when he wrote John 1:1? Did he mean that Jesus is himself God or perhaps that Jesus is one God with the Father? In the same chapter, John 1:18, John wrote:" No one {"no man}, has seen God; the only Son ["the only-begotten god,"] who is in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known." Had any human seen Jesus Christ, the Son? Of course! So, then, was John saying that Jesus was God? Obviously not. Toward the end of his Gospel, John summarized matters, saying: "These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, [not God, but] the Son of God."

God said he made man in his own image, he literally did.

You have the same three parts he describes for himself.

God the Father = Soul.............You are a soul

God the Son = Flesh...............You are in a body of flesh

God the Holy Ghost = Spirit.....You have a spirit

It is all described in the bible if you study it.

I was confused about this until I came across it in other religions which explained it better. The Hindu god Vishnu also did this, as did the Egyptian god Horus, as well as others I can't recall off the top of my head.

Jesus was God's avatar. God felt he needed to walk among men, but knew he could not in his omnipotent form, so he had intercourse with a virgin (Mary), whom he impregnated with himself, and she named the babe Jesus (please forgive dialect shifts, translational mixups, etc).

The concept of a virgin giving birth to a god in physical form is certainly nothing new, though it is scientifically unsound.

I won't go into the many theories floating around about what actually happened too much. Some believe Mary was a hermaphrodite who impregnated hirself, while others believe she was not sexually pure, but had had intercourse more than six weeks prior to hooking up with Joseph who'd been ready to stone her upon learning of her pregnancy until Gabriel (who some believe to be her ex-lover) told him she carried God incarnate. Regardless of what actually happened, if it actually happened at all depending who you ask, this tale in the mythic cycle of Christianity isn't unique to it. It brings many peace, though, which means it's still special. :-)

This question begs a brief discussion of the Trinity a main teaching in Christendom. But what are the biblical and historical facts?

Here are a few biblical references: (John 1:14-18) . . .So the Word became flesh and resided among us, and we had a view of his glory, a glory such as belongs to an only-begotten son from a father; and he was full of divine favor and truth. 15 (John bore witness about him, yes, he cried out: “This was the one of whom I said, ‘The one coming behind me has advanced in front of me, for he existed before me.’”) 16 For we all received from his fullness, even undeserved kindness upon undeserved kindness. 17 Because the Law was given through Moses, the undeserved kindness and the truth came to be through Jesus Christ. 18 No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten god who is at the Father’s side is the one who has explained Him. People saw, lived with, eat with, worked with, was taught by Jesus, etc Ergo he cannot be GOD Almighty. The ancient Jews who was looking for the Messiah did not believe he was Yahweh. Not this conversation: (John 3:16-18) . . .For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him. 18 Whoever exercises faith in him is not to be judged. Whoever does not exercise faith has been judged already, because he has not exercised faith in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.

(John 3:16-18) . . .For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him. 18 Whoever exercises faith in him is not to be judged. Whoever does not exercise faith has been judged already, because he has not exercised faith in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.

Here one is superior (the sender) and other is subordinate (and the one being sent).

Then the Devil took him along into the holy city, and he stationed him on the battlement of the temple 6 and said to him: “If you are a son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written: ‘He will give his angels a command concerning you,’ and, ‘They will carry you on their hands, so that you may not strike your foot against a stone.’” 7 Jesus said to him: “Again it is written: ‘You must not put Jehovah your God to the test.’”

Here Satan identifies Jesus, not as GOD but his son.

(Matthew 16:13-17) . . .When he had come into the region of Caes·a·re′a Phi·lip′pi, Jesus asked his disciples: “Who are men saying the Son of man is?” 14 They said: “Some say John the Baptist, others E·li′jah, and still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them: “You, though, who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 In response Jesus said to him: “Happy you are, Simon son of Jo′nah, because flesh and blood did not reveal it to you, but my Father in the heavens did. If GOD reveal to Peter, as Jesus said, that he was not GOD (Jehovah or Yahweh) but ....the SON of the living God. The origin of the doctrine that Jesus Christ is God Almighty is outside the teachings of Jesus and the Bible.

Here is what theologian and scholars say: Beyond the Grasp of Human Reason”

THIS confusion is widespread. The Encyclopedia Americana notes that the doctrine of the Trinity is considered to be “beyond the grasp of human reason.”

Many who accept the Trinity view it that same way. Monsignor Eugene Clark says: “God is one, and God is three. Since there is nothing like this in creation, we cannot understand it, but only accept it.” Cardinal John O’Connor states: “We know that it is a very profound mystery, which we don’t begin to understand.” And Pope John Paul II speaks of “the inscrutable mystery of God the Trinity.”

Thus, A Dictionary of Religious Knowledge says: “Precisely what that doctrine is, or rather precisely how it is to be explained, Trinitarians are not agreed among themselves.”

We can understand, then, why the New Catholic Encyclopedia observes: “There are few teachers of Trinitarian theology in Roman Catholic seminaries who have not been badgered at one time or another by the question, ‘But how does one preach the Trinity?’ And if the question is symptomatic of confusion on the part of the students, perhaps it is no less symptomatic of similar confusion on the part of their professors.”

The truth of that observation can be verified by going to a library and examining books that support the Trinity. Countless pages have been written attempting to explain it. Yet, after struggling through the labyrinth of confusing theological terms and explanations, investigators still come away unsatisfied.

In this regard, Jesuit Joseph Bracken observes in his book What Are They Saying About the Trinity?: “Priests who with considerable effort learned . . . the Trinity during their seminary years naturally hesitated to present it to their people from the pulpit, even on Trinity Sunday. . . . Why should one bore people with something that in the end they wouldn’t properly understand anyway?” He also says: “The Trinity is a matter of formal belief, but it has little or no [effect] in day-to-day Christian life and worship.” Yet, it is “the central doctrine” of the churches!

Catholic theologian Hans Küng observes in his book Christianity and the World Religions that the Trinity is one reason why the churches have been unable to make any significant headway with non-Christian peoples. He states: “Even well-informed Muslims simply cannot follow, as the Jews thus far have likewise failed to grasp, the idea of the Trinity. . . . The distinctions made by the doctrine of the Trinity between one God and three hypostases do not satisfy Muslims, who are confused, rather than enlightened, by theological terms derived from Syriac, Greek, and Latin. Muslims find it all a word game. . . . Why should anyone want to add anything to the notion of God’s oneness and uniqueness that can only dilute or nullify that oneness and uniqueness?”

“Not a God of Confusion”

HOW could such a confusing doctrine originate? The Catholic Encyclopedia claims: “A dogma so mysterious presupposes a Divine revelation.” Catholic scholars Karl Rahner and Herbert Vorgrimler state in their Theological Dictionary: “The Trinity is a mystery . . . in the strict sense . . . , which could not be known without revelation, and even after revelation cannot become wholly intelligible.”

However, contending that since the Trinity is such a confusing mystery, it must have come from divine revelation creates another major problem. Why? Because divine revelation itself does not allow for such a view of God: “God is not a God of confusion.”—1 Corinthians 14:33, Revised Standard Version (RS).

In view of that statement, would God be responsible for a doctrine about himself that is so confusing that even Hebrew, Greek, and Latin scholars cannot really explain it?

Furthermore, do people have to be theologians ‘to know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom he has sent’? (John 17:3, JB) If that were the case, why did so few of the educated Jewish religious leaders recognize Jesus as the Messiah? His faithful disciples were, instead, humble farmers, fishermen, tax collectors, housewives. Those common people were so certain of what Jesus taught about God that they could teach it to others and were even willing to die for their belief.—Matthew 15:1-9; 21:23-32, 43; 23:13-36; John 7:45-49; Acts 4:13.

took me years to understand this, and wading through oceans of miscommunication, so here it is: Jesus, recognized in Christianity as The Son of God, is, in fact, God's spirit in a human body which was put in a woman (Mary), and born Jesus. When Jesus the man was crucified, He lived by the Spirit, and Jesus' body was restored to life after crucifixion. He lay in the tomb for three days to show that he had actually died.

Both. As one of the Holy Trinity, he is the Word of God. In the incarnation, he is the Word of God incarnate, God in human flesh.

Doctrine can be tough; go figure.

We can see how the Apostle John records Jesus' life and ministry. Note that this was not a running record published in tabloid fashion, but a book written after all the facts were known. And this is the known fact, that John records Apostles Thomas's declaration of faith in Jesus, calling him "My Lord and my God. (Gk, O Kyrios mou kai o Theos mou -- the Lord of me and the God of me.) (John 20:28). Couple that with John's earlier statement that the Word was God and became flesh (John 1:1,14) and it's clear that the Apostolic teaching is that the divine Son and Word became God in human flesh in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. This is the ancient teaching held by Catholic and Orthodox from that day to this, and also by most Protestants.

Some responses seem to think that someone cannot have two roles simultaneously. I can be a Christian and a musician, a manager and a homeowner -- all at the same time. It is clear that the Word voluntarily gave up some of his divine prerogatives to become man, yet without losing his divinity; his divine essence remained intact. Once Christ's mission was completed, the voluntary limitations were done away with; and his name *is exalted above other names. But his elevation was a restoration of a rightful position, not a grant of a new position.

It is historical revisionism to claim that the early Christians did not believe Christ was divine.

Jesus' accusers complained -- and once tried to stone him -- about his clear claim to be divine. He did not try to dissuade them, since their conclusion was *exactly what he meant.

Forgive me.

Yes. He is a God just like his Father is. They are two individual beings, just as you and I are individuals.

It is interesting that Jesus pointed out the law (in defense against the false "blasphemy" accusation) applies not to just him, but to any who accepts the word of God....

John 10

33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

Psalms 82

6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

I believe what Jesus said.

Jesus lived in heaven before, just as we all did, as spirits without a body. Jesus descended, obtained a body, was baptized, died, resurrected and ascended to heaven. Jesus also said he did nothing but what the father did. If you believe you can go to heaven, you must also believe you descended from heaven, as Jesus said.

John 5:19

19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

Philippians 2

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God

John 3:13

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

No man hath ascended, except he came down first, Jesus is the "Son of man which is in heaven", God the Father is "man which is in heaven" and if God the Father is a man, well, then he did too, just as Jesus did, and Jesus did nothing but what the Father did.

John 6:62

62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

1 John 3:2

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

God is the Father of our spirit. We have different biological (fathers of the flesh) parents, but in Jesus case, God is the Father of his spirit and body, thus he is the only begotten in the flesh.

Hebrews 12:9

9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

Psalms 82:1

1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

Jesus was there in the beginning, creating with God the Father (see Hebrews 1:2) and John 1:1-4 will make more sense now, being that the Word was Jesus, and he was God, and was with God (the Father, also a God).

Hebrews 1

1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Both.

Analogy:

Is George Bush Jr. Mr. President or son of Mr. President? He is both.

God exists as the eternal union of three divine persons:

- the Father

- the Son (Jesus)

- the Holy Spirit

So: the Father is God. Jesus is *that very same God*. The Holy Spirit is *that very same God*. Jesus is the son of God the Father. That is:

- Jesus is the son of the Father, who is God

- Jesus is that very same God, but he is not the same person as the Father

I say again: God is the eternal union of the three divine persons. That is why Jesus can be both God and son of God at the same time - because God is more than one person. (That is also why George Bush can be Mr. President and the son of Mr. President at the same time - because Mr. President is more than one person.)

Is Jesus Christ actually God?

John 17:3, “[Jesus prayed to his Father:] This is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God [“who alone art truly God,” NE], and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.” (Notice that Jesus referred not to himself but to his Father in heaven as “the only true God.”)

John 20:17. “Jesus said to her [Mary Magdalene], ‘Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” (So to the resurrected Jesus, the Father was God, just as the Father was God to Mary Magdalene. Interestingly, not once in Scripture do we find the Father addressing the Son as “my God.”)

God’s Son Is Accountable

What a fine example has been set by God’s Son, Jesus Christ! As a perfect man on a par with Adam, Jesus was delighted to do the divine will. He was also glad to be held accountable for compliance with God’s law. Concerning him, the psalmist fittingly prophesied: “To do your will, O my God, I have delighted, and your law is within my inward parts.”—Psalm 40:8; Hebrews 10:6-9.

Despite the hateful opposition that Jesus experienced, he did God’s will and maintained integrity to death on a torture stake. He thereby paid the ransom price to redeem mankind from the death-dealing consequences of Adam’s sin. (Matthew 20:28) Hence, on the eve of his death, Jesus could confidently pray: “I have glorified you on the earth, having finished the work you have given me to do. So now you, Father, glorify me alongside yourself with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was.” (John 17:4, 5) Jesus could say those words to his heavenly Father because he was successfully meeting the test of accountability and was acceptable to God.

Jesus Christ Definition: The only-begotten Son of God, the only Son produced by God alone. This Son is the firstborn of all creation. By means of him all other things in heaven and on earth were created. He is the second-greatest personage in the universe. It is this Son whom Jehovah sent to the earth to give his life as a ransom for mankind, thus opening the way to eternal life for those of Adam’s offspring who would exercise faith. This same Son, restored to heavenly glory, now rules as King, with authority to destroy all the wicked and to carry out his Father’s original purpose for the earth. The Hebrew form of the name Jesus means “Jehovah Is Salvation”; Christ is the equivalent of the Hebrew Ma·shi′ach (Messiah), meaning “Anointed One.”

Jesus called himself the son of God. The religious leaders wanted a reason to kill him and so they said that he claimed he said he was actually God - which is impossible. God the Creator couldn't fit into a human body. HIs first created son did come. Jesus prayed to God. There is no trinity. The catholics made it up, the protestants took out the false phrase "there are three that bear witness in Heaven, the Father the Word and the Spirit and these three are one", - this was falsely added by catholics, taken out by protestants because they KNEW it was false, YET, the protestants still repeat the lie.

If you read Scriptures to support your belief, it depends on WHICH bible (there are over 500 different translations). John wrote Jesus was the Word and the Word was a God, (it does not say Jesus was God in many bible translations) -people quote according to their preconceived beliefs).

So we have a whole generation of blind religious people who care nothing for truth, and they stick to tradition (tradition that liars created).

If there were any who were able to communicate with the angels that Christ promised he would send, we would not have so many confused Christians today.

Enosh--------------------Mortal

Kenan------------------ Sorrow;

Mahalalel--------------The Blessed God

Jared----------------------Shall come down

Enoch---------------------Teaching

Methuselah-------------His death shall bring

Lamech--------------------The Despairing

Noah---------------------Rest, or comfort.

Let's put the meanings together now:

Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest.

Those that truly look for the truth will see that Jesus is God the Son.

Unfortunately, many don't seek the truth---they seek what fits their theology---even if it is false.

Jesus is God`s Son and so is God by nature - a divine nature. Jesus never denied worship and did not contradict Thomas when he called Jesus "My Lord and my God" John 20:23

Jesus is the son of God.

(Matthew 3:16, 17) . . .After being baptized, Jesus immediately came up from the water; and look! the heavens were opened up, and he saw God’s spirit descending like a dove and coming upon him. 17 Look! Also, a voice from the heavens said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.”

Christians don't understand what the term "son of God" meant in those times to Jews. It simply meant a prophet, or a holy person. Jews did not literally believe God had a son. When Jews asked Jesus if he was the "son of God" that would be like asking him if he was the Messiah, the Jewish Messiah who was just supposed to be a man.

When Gentiles joined the church after he had died and read these Gospels they believed it was a literal meaning because they already believed in pagan gods who had children with humans. Had they been Jews they would never have thought he was the actual son of God.

That's why it wasn't until 325 AD that the Trinity and the "nature" of Jesus was officially defined by the Catholic Church. It had to be because there were so many different beliefs as to what Jesus was before that.

Jesus called himself Son of Man.

He was both human from Mary,

& divine from GOD.

When he died on the cross,

His soul separated from his body.

When he resurrected, his body was transformed.

This left an image burned onto the Shroud.

When he ascended, this body was reunited with the Father.

The clear separation of Jehovah and Jesus can be proved by one scripture...

(Mark 9:7) And a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud: “This is my Son, the beloved. Listen to him.”

If Jesus were ALSO the supreme being, then the scripture would state...listen to ME...

And Jesus is subservient to his father, proved by the fact that Jesus prayed to him...

You do not pray to yourself... That would be the height of egotism.

He is both God and the son of God. The holy trinity (father, son (aka Jesus) and Holy Spirit) is God. It is 1 God in 3 persons (not 3 Gods). And Jesus (Son of God) is talking to God the Father.

Many at this day think of the Lord only as of an ordinary man like themselves, because they think only of His Human and not at the same time of His Divine; when yet His Divine and His Human cannot be separated. "For the Lord is God and Man; and God and Man in the Lord are not two, but one Person; indeed, all together one, as the soul and body are one man.

esus Himself upheld monotheism. When asked for the greatest command, Jesus responded, “. . . The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” (Mark 12:29-30).

Jesus taught that God is one, and Jesus taught that He was one with God (John 10:30). In response, the Jews picked up stones to stone Jesus because they thought He was guilty of blasphemy. Similarly, Muslims would say a man claiming to be God would be guilty of “shirk.” However, Jesus is not a mere man claiming to be God. He is the Son of God in human flesh (John 10:36-38).

The title “Son of God” does not mean Jesus was literally born from God. The Bible does not teach a physical relationship between God and Mary, as Muslims sometimes charge. At the birth of Jesus, the angel told the virgin Mary:

“. . . ‘Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. . . . of his kingdom there will be no end.’ And Mary said to the angel, ‘How will this be, since I am a virgin?’ And the angel answered her, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God’” (Luke 1:30-35).

Pastor John MacArthur explains these verses: “Since a son bears his father’s qualities, calling a person someone else’s ‘son’ was a way of signifying equality. Here the angel was telling Mary that her Son would be equal to the Most High God” (The MacArthur Study Bible).

Man’s testimony that Jesus is God’s Son

When people witnessed Jesus’ miracles, teaching, death, resurrection, and ascension to heaven, many believed Jesus is the Son of God.

• Followers of Jesus testified after He calmed a storm: “And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, ‘Truly you are the Son of God’” (Matthew 14:32-33).

• Peter testified: “Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, ‘Who do people say that the Son of Man is?’ And they said, ‘Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.’ He said to them, ‘But who do you say that I am?’ Simon Peter replied, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ And Jesus answered him, ‘Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven’” (Matthew 16:13-17).

• A woman, whose brother Jesus raised to life, testified: “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?’ She said to him, ‘Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world’” (John 11:25-27).

• Even the demons know Jesus is the Son of God: “Whenever the evil spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, ‘You are the Son of God’” (Mark 3:11).

• A military officer and soldiers who were guarding Jesus at His death on the cross testified: “When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, ‘Truly this was the Son of God!’” (Matthew 27:54).

• Thomas testified after Jesus rose from the dead: “Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, ‘We have seen the Lord.’ But he said to them, ‘Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.’ Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you.’ Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.’ Thomas answered him, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Jesus said to him, ‘Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.’ Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:24-31).

Jesus’ own testimony that He is God’s Son

• “This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill [Jesus], because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God. So Jesus said to them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel. For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will. The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life’” (John 5:18-24).

• At Jesus’ trial, He testified: “. . . Again the high priest asked him, ‘Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?’ And Jesus said, ‘I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven’" (Mark 14:61-62).

• “We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true—even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life” (1 John 5:20).

God’s testimony that Jesus is His Son

• God spoke at Jesus’ baptism: “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17).

• “While he was speaking, a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. A voice came from the cloud, saying, ‘This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him’” (Luke 9:34-35).

• “If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son. Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:9-13).

• Previously, God had spoken to man through His prophets, but then He sent His own Son: “In the past God spoke to our forefathers by the prophets at many times and in various ways. But in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son whom He has appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven” (Hebrews 1:1-3).

Jesus is the “exact representation” of God. Although one with His Father in essence, Jesus is also distinct in Person as God’s Son. God has revealed Himself as one God manifest in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Even before the world began, Jesus was always with God and was God (John 1:1-2; 17:5). God created all things in the universe through Jesus (John 1:3; Colossians 1:15-20).

Although eternally one with God, Jesus came to earth in the form of man (Philippians 2:5-11). Born to the virgin Mary, Jesus is fully God and fully man at the same time (the incarnation: Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:14; Romans 1:3-4; Colossians 2:9; 1 John 4:1-3; 5:20).

Believe in the Son of God

We must believe God’s Word that Jesus is God’s Son, even though it’s hard to understand. We will die with many hard questions unanswered. But we dare not die without responding to God's promise of judgment and salvation through His Son (John 3:35-36; 5:25-29; Acts 10:38-43; 17:30-31; 1 John 4:14-15).

As the perfect Son of God, Jesus didn’t deserve the punishment for sin, death (Romans 6:23). But by dying on the cross and rising from the dead, Jesus paid the penalty of sin and broke the power of sin for those who would be in Him (Romans 8:1-3).

God is calling sinners to turn from their own way to follow the living Lord Jesus in repentance and faith (Luke 24:46-47). We cannot save ourselves. Only those who turn from sin and trust in the Son of God are saved from sin and eternal death.

“God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God” (John 3:16-18).

pravoslavie.ru/english/55141.htm Jesus was born of the Father before time. Jesus is 100% God.

Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father only. Holy Spirit is 100% God.

Jesus incarnated. Jesus is 100% God and 100% man. His body felt pain but didn't have the original sin (eating of the forbidden fruit by Adam and Eve).

After crucifiction, Jesus preached in hell. Those who believed, got out of hell.

After resurrection, Jesus has a body that doesn't feel pain; He is still considered to be 100% God and 100% man.

Holy Spirit (who proceeds from the Father) descended upon God-bearer when She agreed to conceive the Word (Jesus). Jesus incarnated this way.

She always remained a virgin: before, during, and after. She didn't have personal sins (by the grace of God) but the original sin (eating of the forbidden fruit by Adam and Eve) was on Her; so, Jesus is Her Saviour too. She died 15 years after Christ's ascension; Jesus resurrected Her body in 3 days.

As near as I recall/remember. Jesus never calls himself God, but refers to himself as "the son of God," but NOT as The ONLY son of God.

Yes, he does make the statement that no one comes to the Father except through ME, but as I recall Jesus didn't write that in the "bible/books" which relates these stories. And in MY ONLY MY opinion, people are the only ones who assume that no one gets to God except through Jesus, and I personally don't think that Jesus did not mean EXACTY lthat as i is rathe presumptuous to make that kind of statement by a human being, even as a prophet sort of person. Jesus didn't seem to be "full of himself" as most humans even it is just a small speck of power seem to do, and Jesus seemed to be aware that he is only a son of God, and NOT God, thus recognizing thatONLY his NON HUMAM father can have the infinity property that people can't have and that ONLY God can have. Some said tht Jesus was resurrected, but presumably ONLY his soul was resurrected not his body, though some claimed to have see him after he died. This is not an uncommon occurance with any person who has meant something to the peopl e who are alive, but it does not satisfy the idea that Jesus was resurrected. the only bits of that informaiton are contained in the various discusions found in the first books inthe New Testament where his followers state they hae seen Jesus whole and healthy and in 'heaven" .The verifications are on;ly antedates from passers by who were follwers or how knew him. This is not an uncommon, happeneing but it has not soundness in being verifiedby many other people as any other than a manifestation within the person's pereption..

And really does it matter? If you are a person who believes in the power of Jesus Christ and other healers of this dimension. I am sure you are much happier than we can ever know in your new set of beliefs, Knowing that many of the stories within the new Testament concerning Jesus's life and death are second hand reports. I think we should go a little eaasier on the miraculaous ideas about Jesus and concentrate more on the wisdom he tried to share. A Holy person. of course, God? no

Equal to God? No. .onn a Son of God.. and Jesus was willing to announce that. .He didn't say that anyone else was the son of God, bit he didn't say the weren't ether..

And one other thing: Jesus was kind to all WOMEN. hbe didnn't degrade them regardless their community standanding reputation, and in fact was very kind to women. Modern men can take a lesson from that.

both

Jesus is also fully and truly human of two distinct nature

In his human nature Jesus can feel as we do in our finiteness and in that human nature can commune with divinity as we do

God is absolutely one Being but since God is Eternal Love He needs to be more than one person/hypostasis

Jesus is the incarnation of the 2nd person of this Trinity which is of one essence/substance and nature but 3 unique yet inseparable and distinct individuals: eternal, equal, collaborative

Things like this are admittedly hard to understand and we won’t fully comprehend it until we get to the Father’s house and hear it straight from Him. But in the mean time consider these things. In Genesis 1:1 the Hebrew word used to denote God is Elohim. It’s a plural word. In Genesis 1:26-27 Elohim said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness.” So Elohim created man in His own image. Speaking of the same event, John 1:1-2 confirmed the Word was both with God and was God. Then John 1:14 says the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory, the glory of the one and only, who came from the Father. Right from the beginning we had two, who were one.

This was the fulfillment of a prophecy in Psalm 2:7 where God said, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father.” That means long before the baby Jesus was born there was a discussion between the Father and the Son where their roles were defined. It was not a biological matter, it was a theological matter. And yet they both still claimed to be one. Israel’s mantra is, “Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One” (Deut 6:4). And in John 10:30 Jesus said, “I and the Father are one.”

Isaiah understood this when he said, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). These names belong to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, but Isaiah said the Son will be known by all of them.

Here’s how I think it works. In John 14:9 Jesus told Philip, “If you’ve seen me you’ve seen the Father.” Then in Colossians 1:15-16 and Hebrews 1:3 we’re told that Jesus is the visible form of the invisible God. God is a spirit (John 4:24) and cannot be seen by man. Jesus is physical and can be seen.

While on Earth Jesus set aside His godly powers and became fully man. That means He had to perform His miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit of God, just like we do. And He had to pray to the Father for guidance just like we do. And from Rev. 5 we see that even after He returned to Heaven, He retained His physical appearance as “the Lamb who was slain.”

In Psalm 110 David wrote of the Father saying to the Son, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet” (Psalm 110:1) He sits at the Father’s right hand, because it’s still the Father’s throne, and His enemies are not yet under His feet. 1 Cor. 15:26 says the last enemy to be destroyed is death. In the mean time, He’s the visible image of the invisible God.

I think Jesus had prepared Himself to endure the physical pain involved in His crucifixion. After all in Psalm 22 King David had described it quite vividly 1000 years earlier. What He wasn’t prepared for was the spiritual loss He suffered when for the first time in eternity He experienced separation from His Father. We’ve always been separated from God so we can’t imagine what it would feel like to be one with Him. He had always had union with the Father and wasn’t prepared for the pain that being separated would bring.

Personally, I think that in ways we can’t begin to understand the Trinity was changed at that moment, torn apart by our sins. Jesus, trapped in the body of a man, took all the sin of mankind upon Himself, literally becoming sin for us (2 Cor. 5:21). God could not bear the sight of it and had to turn His back, taking the light from the world in the process (Matt. 27:45). For the first time in eternity, Jesus was left completely alone, at the mercy of His tormentors. It was too much, even for Him, and for the first and only time in the entire ordeal He cried out in anguish, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Matt. 27:46).

Both actually. Jesus Christ is 100% God and 100% man at the same time - that is why He is referred to in the Bible both as Son of God and Son of Man.

As God, Jesus was with the Father before He ever came to earth but when He did, He came here as a man; the Bible says, "In the likeness of human flesh" or as John 1:1 & 14 says He was the Word who was WITH GOD and who WAS GOD and He became Flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory as of the only begotten Son of God, full of grace and truth.

The reason we know God is both God and human is because His Name is Emmanuel which being interpreted means "God with us" Matt 1:23 from Isa 7:14 and Mary was commanded to call His Name Jesus because He would save the people fro their sins (Matt 1:21) so He is the only Saviour of mankind. He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). When we were all in sin because of Adam's indiscretion which caused the whole world to fall including creation, God Himself came in the flesh of man to Himself be crucified and die for our sins because no other man was good enough or flawless enough to be the perfect sacrifice, so God provided His own self as the sacrifice for our sins and died on the Cross. But God is Spirit (John 8:24) and a Spirit cannot be crucified so He came in flesh so that His flesh could be crucified for us. There are a multitude of scriptures confirming that Jesus is God including places such as John 824 & 27, 2 Corinthians 5:19 (God was in Christ reconciliing the world unto Himself etc), John 8:58 (where He took God's Name "I AM"), Hebrews 1: 8 & 9 (where God gave Jesus His own throne and called Him "God" and told the angels of God to worship Him" etc.

Whilst on earth God operated in the human flesh of Jesus as Son of God and that's why Jesus had to ask God for things, because Jesus had emptied Himself of His Glory whilst down here but when He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane He asked God to restore to Him, the glory He had with the Father before the world was (John 17:5) Jesus and His Father are One (John 10:30) but whilst on earth and being crucified, God had to forsake Jesus because He is so holy He cannot look upon sin and Jesus took all of our sins upon Himself as the Lamb of God and the Scapegoat dying with our sins upon Himself, which was when they were removed from us, if we accept His sacrifice and receive Him as Lord and Saviour.

Dear Friend,

Jesus Christ "is" God.

The word Trinity is defined in the dictionary as:

1. The Christian Godhead as One God in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

2. A group of three spiritual Persons

God is a Triune God: Three spiritual Persons in One.

The Trinity consists of: God, the Father (Jehovah). God the Son, Jesus (Lord and Savior). And God the Holy Spirit (all Power).

One of the best ways to describe the Trinity is the example of an egg. An egg has 3 parts. The shell, the yolk, and the white. All three can be used independently from one another and yet, still be called...an egg. The Trinity of God is One, yet can be separate and used independently as well.

"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father (Jehovah God), the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost (Spirit/Ghost) all Power: and these three are one." 1 John 5:7 (Three in One = Trinity)

Jesus said, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" Matthew 28:19 (Three in One = Trinity)

2 Corinthians 13:14 "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen" (Three in One = Trinity)

*All three Persons of the Godhead were involved in the work of creation.*

"God ...created the heavens and the earth" Genesis 1:1.

"The Spirit of God (Holy Spirit/Ghost) was hovering over the face of the waters:" Genesis 1:2.

And "All things were created through Him (Jesus) and for Him (Jesus)." Colossians 1:16b.

"I have given them the glory You (Jehovah God) gave Me (Jesus), so they may be one as We are One." (John 17:22 NLT)

"Now, Father (Jehovah God), bring Me (Jesus) into the glory we shared before the world began." (John 17:5 NLT)

Therefore, Jesus Christ...is God!

Tender blessings,

Son of God.

Once a person reads the bible, it is obvious such a teaching that Jesus is God (Trinity teaching) conflicts with the rest of the bible. So what does the bible teach?

John 7:16 [Jesus answered] "My teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me."

(John 12:49) because I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak.

Jesus said on numerous occasions that, "the Father has sent me." (John 5:37,6:37)

Why are some confused believing Jesus was speaking as the Almighty God?

(Revelation 1:1) A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented it in signs through him to his slave John"

(Clearly Jesus was speaking on his fathers behalf and transmitting what was to be said. Also if, as some teach, Jesus became God when he went to heaven, why did he make this statement that the father gave him what to say? would this not be a lie if he was actually God?)

In addition, Stephen was given a vision into heaven. If God really wanted to teach the trinity this was his opportunity but how many did Stephen mention, was it 1....3? No.... 2 separate individual

(Acts 7:56) and he said: “Look! I behold the heavens opened up and the Son of man standing at God’s right hand.”

These words were uttered more times in the bible at: Mark 16:19, Luke 22:69, Acts 2:33 & Romans 8:34

AND BY JESUS OWN ADMISSION~

This is supported by what Jesus said about be two distinct individual according to law:

John 8:17, 18: “[Jesus answered the Jewish Pharisees] In your law it is written that the testimony of two men is true; I bear witness to myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness to me.”

Also tying in with this scripture... Mark 13:32, Jesus Christ said: “But of that day or that hour [Armageddon] no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

Ask yourself.... How is it possible to be God and not know what God knows?

Jesus in Praying to his father said: "This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, AND him whom you sent, Jesus Christ. John 17:3.

The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him." (John 13:16)

(John 14:28) . . .If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.

Not only that~

Jesus prays to God. (John 17:1-3)

Jesus was faithful to God. (Hebrews 2:17,18, Hebrews 3:2)

Jesus is a servant of God. (Acts 3:13)

Jesus does not know things God knows. (Mark 13:32, Revelation 1:1)

Jesus worships God. (John 8:54,55)

Jesus is in subjection to God. (1 Corinthians 15:28)

Jesus is under the headship of God. (1 Corinthians 11:3)

Jesus has reverent submission, fear, of God. (Hebrews 5:7)

Jesus is given lordship by God. (Acts 2:36)

Jesus was exalted by God (Acts 5:31)

Jesus was made high priest by God. (Hebrews 5:10)

Jesus was given authority by God. (Philippians 2:9; Luke 1:32,33; Acts 10:42)

"God raised Jesus from the dead". (Acts 2:24, Romans 10:9, 1 Corinthians 15:15)

So who is Jesus?

God called him his Son ~ Mt 3:17 (prophesy Ps 2:7), Luke 9:35

Satan called him the son of God ~ Mt 4:3,6; Luke 4:3,9

The demons called him the son of God ~ Mt 8:29, Luke 4:41; 8:28; Mk 3:11; 5:6

Angels called him son of God ~ Luke 1:35

John the baptiser called him Son of God ~ John 1:34; Mt 3:17; John 5:33

The apostles called him son of God ~ Luke 3:38; John 1:49-51;3:16;20:31; Mt 14:33; 16:16; 20:31;Lu 23:47; 1 John 3:8; 4:9,15; 5:5,10,12,13,20

Paul preached Jesus is the son of God ~ Acts 9:20; Rom 1:4; 2 Cor 1:19; Gal 1:19; Eph 4:13; Heb 4:14; 6:6; 7:3; 10:29

Robber dying next to Jesus called him God's son ~ Mt 27:40

Roman soldiers called him God's Son ~ Mt 27:54; Mrk 15:39

Many today take part of a scripture one can construe this to have the meaning they want, for example:

(John 14:10) Do you not believe that I am in union with the Father and the Father is in union with me? The things I say to you men I do not speak of my own originality; but the Father who remains in union with me is doing his works. (this is used by trinitarians to prove Jesus is God however Jesus said after this that his disciples were one or in union with him too.... does that make them God too? (John 17:21 see also John 3:34; John 8:28)

Simply, the trinity teaching that Jesus is God and the bible are not in agreement. Jesus is not God, as the bible teaches he is the Son, a separate individual who choose to give up his life for many because of his deep love and faith in his father.

Jesus IS God, and He's not talking to Himself when He's dying on the cross. What He says is, My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? This is a direct reference to Psalms 22, where King David prophesies about the Messiah dying on the cross, with bad men encircled around Him, casting lots for his clothes, and mocking Him. (Read Psalms 22, think of the crucifixion.)

Back in the day, people didn't have books. They had to memorize the scripture. When Jesus said this on the cross, He was not asking God why have You forsaken Me, Jesus was telling the people, Remember what King David said about me, look around you, and see that it his happening right in front of you, just as King David prophesied.

Jesus, in Revelation, calls Himself God: I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. God calls Jesus God, I set before you your throne, Oh God. Isaiah calls Jesus God: For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, MIGHTY GOD, everlasting FATHER, Prince of Peace.

Jesus never stopped anyone nor rebuked anyone for worhshipping Him. The angels did. They said, Do not worship me; I am not God. But we know that people knelt before Jesus in worship. We know that Thomas did, when He knelt down before The Lord and said, "My Lord AND My God."

We know that Israel recognized its King and Messiah, Jesus. When He entered the gates of Jerusalem riding on a colt, the foal of a donkey, this was prophesy fulfilled in Zechariah, wherein the Prophet Zechariah proclaimed that Messiah would do just that. The people recognized Him, lay their cloaks and palm fronds at His feet and worshipped Him. And they knew that He was the promised salvation -- and God in the flesh -- as Isaiah had spoken. They were not fooled.

There IS only one God. Only God can fulfill the law, perfectly, and be the atonement for His people. Only God can take that beating and not die from it. Only God can pay that price. Only God has the wherewithal to do it, spiritually, legally, physically, emotionally. . .

The only way I can explain Jesus/God together -- you know, we're human; finite minds, limited understanding -- God has a body, a mind, and a spirit -- just like us. God's "body" is Jesus. Scripture tells us flatly, Jesus is the "physical representation of a spiritual God." God creates a body for Himself (Jesus) to feel, understand, empathize, experience all that we do so that we know that He truly does understand the suffering that we go through. And when we see/hear/read of how He suffered during the crucifixion, we cringe at what He must have gone through because we have experienced pain and humilation, and we are thankful that He took it for us.
