Wikipedia content is generated by users, and most people don't keep up on things like the proper way for dating such as BC and BCE and really the change was just a stupid move of people to try and remove Christ from things. Whether you use Before Common Era, or Before Christian Era or Before Christ its all the same, the years are all the same numbers 200BC = 200BCE

BCE is a very good way to do it, as Before Common Era is
before Christ, and CE as Common Era is after Christ.
Judah kings ended year 3460 [606 BCE, now at 2011 CE],
that was 2617 years ago, there will be no king until Jesis
with his firstfruits at his second coming.

BC is still by far the most commonly used and understood notation, and while BCE is increasingly used in academia (mostly for PC reasons), Wikipedia can and should use whichever notation its users agree on.

BC and AD is a christian dating system, changed to BCE/ACE - before/after the common era.
Why is it so hard for xtians (and muslims) understand that the whole planet is NOT xtian (or muslim)? This is exactly what muslims do - they are so convinced that only they exist, and cannot understand that there are non-muslims on planet earth.
Do you see what the Jewish TaNaKh (mistranslated old testament) means when it speaks of the babylonian myth system of thought - he/she says in his/her heart, there is only me - only my kind.
Judaism teaches that we are to treat others as we would want to be treated. You don't like muslims telling YOU that you must do or think muslim things, so why would YOU insist that others must think as you do?

Because wikipedia is liberal and hates Jesus.
Sorry, just stating the obvious facts. If wiki was fair and impartial, conservapedia wouldn't have come about.
And also, they can change the abbreviations and words, but 0 is still loosely based on when Christ was born. Sorry, better luck next time, atheists.

Does it really matter? I'm sure you call this year 2011 even though you're probably not a believer in Christ.

BC is shorter and more commonly used, although maybe incorrect from a certain perspective.
