Have they been able to repress these carnal desires completely? Or since technically they're married to God does that mean when they get horny, it's for God?

Yes. However, their vows are very important to them. Their spirituality means far more to them than physical relationships. Also, sex is not everything. People who've taken spiritual vows of celibacy have other things to do with their lives, and they made that conscious decision themselves. There are issues that are more important to them than sex and romantic relationships.

They are human.

So yes, they have normal inclinations. However, they don't act on them..which is a big difference. A thought is 1 thing, dwelling on it is anohter.. and acting on it.. entirely different. They are less 'focussed' on those types of thoughts then the general public, so while I'm sure it happens to them, it is much less frequently then the rest of us.

AND

When it does.. they are probably quicker to recognize it and re-focus their thoughts on something else and probably either ask for God's assistance in NOT having those thoughts or for forgiveness in "dwelling" on them to much.

1 or the other, depending on the situation.

Talking to many priests and nuns their lives are filled with focussing on prayer and OTHER people's needs..noth their own. I'd say they are MUCH much happier with their lives then that of the general public.

Most of them feel what they lack in a traditional spousal relationship they more then make up for it in spiritual fullfillment and interacting with other people.

I could never be a nun...that being said, I'm sure they may get urges and then they would pray and do other rituals to rid themselves of that "feeling" my thing is this: feelings are natural, it doesn't mean you have to always act on them, maybe thats their logic?

Nuns are people, too. I am sure t one point they have had sexual thoughts, after all, it's only human! I am sure most are true to thier calling and have learned to overcome the urges. I think it is unnatural for any human to be complete asecual, but if it works for you, it's really nun of my business. Sorry, I couldn't resist the easy pun.

it truly is merely not in our primate nature. i might for a million billion money, yet might could spend each and every style of money retaining myself drugged and characteristic surgical procedures so i would not have any choose in any respect. it may well be nicely worth it. i might do extra with that money than any Paris Hilton or different Silver Spoon strolling entertainment Park.

I don't get the whole nun thing, but my theory is they are human and will have urges which are natural. Man, a life devoted to abstinence, that has to suck.

Yes. And I hear they self-administer their own punishment for having a simple body function.

In fact, I'm sure the Catholic Church is looking for ways to include female circumcision as part of their initiation ritual.

Wow!

To be aroused is a natural bodily function.

I suppose punishment is the only way to deny it. Then again, I'm not a nun. I like living in this generation.

First of all they are women of God. Second they are human. They make sacrifices for God. Some have fallen but have asked for forgiveness. God Bless...

I've come over all strange just thinking about randy nuns!

I'll have to go and whip myself as a penance!

Everyone gets urges, even Puritans like myself.

But I sublimate my "stirrings" and transform the

beast within me into something more aesthetic.

you are immature. but they are people, they just resist urges. i dont' know if you know that for a lot of people, god is more important than sex.
