Question:
What is the proper interpretation of I John 5:7 ? Why is NWT and KJV so much different?

Where is "God the Father" or "Jehovah God" in the NWT ?

King James version says:

7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one

8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

New World Translation (Watchtower / JW Bible) Says:

6 This is he that came by means of water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. And the spirit is that which is bearing witness, because the spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three witness bearers, 8 the spirit and the water and the blood, and the three are in agreement.

Why no mention of Jehovah or God the Father in the NWT ?

The New World Translation is a forged, error filled version twisted to fit the warped idealogy of the JW's

-------------------------

(I John 5:7)-

These three are one. This verse is the famous “Johannine Comma,” as it has been called, and it obviously carries the clearest and most explicit statement of the doctrine of the Trinity to be found in the Bible. However, it only is found in manuscripts of the Latin Bible, and in four Greek manuscripts, so is believed by many Biblical scholars to have been a pious addition or marginal annotation by some unknown ancient copyist.

The doctrine of the Trinity does not depend on this verse, of course, as it is implied in many other Scriptures (e.g., Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14). On the other hand, since it does fit perfectly in the context, it also seems that this verse could well have been in John’s original autograph, and then been expunged from most of the accessible manuscripts at the height of the Arian controversy in the fourth century.

To eliminate this verse would leave I John 5:8 as a largely redundant repetition of I John 5:6, whereas the continuity and sense are beautifully structured and sequenced if it is included.

It would seem much more likely for Origen or Arius, both of whom rejected the doctrines of the Trinity and Biblical inerrancy, or one of their followers in the third or fourth centuries, to boldly excise the offending verse, than for some godly copyist to insert it. One who believed in the Trinity would surely have held the Scriptures in too much esteem to presume to amend them on his own initiative.

Despite the weight of scholarly opinion to the contrary, the internal evidence, as well as the testimony of the Latin manuscripts and such later authorities as Erasmus and the Reformers, as well as many great commentators since, such as John Wesley and Matthew Henry, strongly argues that the Johannine Comma was actually written by John in his epistle and should still be regarded as part of the true text.

I know what you are saying, and at the end of the day unless you are able to translate ancient Greek yourself you have to ignore these bits, and look at the rest of the Bible to find out the truth. As with this scripture, is happens at a few rare occasions, and obviously is to do with the trinity issue.

The best scripture that I like, and which shows that Jesus and God are not the same is

Revelation 1:1 (King James Version)

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him

Anyway, another scripture that goes along with the NWT version (the one that I trust) -

1 John 5:7-8 (American Standard Version)

And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three who bear witness, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and the three agree in one

1 John 5:7, 8:

KJ reads: “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.” (Dy also includes this Trinitarian passage.) However, NW does not include the words “in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth.” (RS, NE, TEV, JB, NAB also leave out the Trinitarian passage.)

Regarding this Trinitarian passage, textual critic F. H. A. Scrivener wrote: “We need not hesitate to declare our conviction that the disputed words were not written by St. John: that they were originally brought into Latin copies in Africa from the margin, where they had been placed as a pious and orthodox gloss on ver. 8: that from the Latin they crept into two or three late Greek codices, and thence into the printed Greek text, a place to which they had no rightful claim.”—A Plain Introduction to the Criticism of the New Testament (Cambridge, 1883, third ed.), p. 654.

See also footnote on these verses in JB, and NW appendix, 1984 Reference edition, p. 1580.

Other scriptures that are said by Trinitarians to express elements of their dogma

Notice that the first of these texts refers to only the Son; the other refers to both Father and Son; neither refers to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and says that they comprise one God.

So the real question is...Why was the NWT singled out and accused of altering an already obviously spurious verse? And why were none of the other MAJOR Bible translations targeted? The answer is obvious. The asker clearly hates Jehovah's Witnesses, and will use any means that he can, even if deceptive, to make them look bad.

Buddy I don't use the NWT, I do use the KJT I am member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon)

We believe that God the Father was Elohim and Jehovah who is Jesus Christ in the New Testament John in the first Chapter of his book Calls him the Word or the messenger of salvation, to give you another indication Jesus was Jehovah is that John tells use also in John 1; 3 All things were made by him and without him not anything was made. All That Jesus ever done he done under the Direction of the Father.

1 John 5; 7 simply mean that there are three separate and distinct persons in the Godhead, God the Father, God the Son or Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. and they Bear witness of each other and they are one in purpose. there Goals are the same to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. The NWT as well as the NIV and many other modern day English translations are based upon the Greek manuscript of Westcott & Hort, who were Anglicans who dabbled in spiritism. They had a group that was dedicated to the exploration of paranormal experiences, called the Ghostly Guild, which was the progenitor of the Psychic Research Institute. The Ghostly Guild practaced seances, levitation, and many other spiritistic practices explicitly condemned by Jehovah. Just as the WTS has made frequent use of Johannes Greber--a Catholic priest turned spirit medium-- they made extensive use of Westcott & Hort's works as the basis of their NWT. So, you see, the WTS is not above using people who are in cohoots with demons so long as they seem to back up their doctrines. The plot thickens.....

P.S. Oh, yes, the poster above is correct about paving the way for the New World Order and stripping Christ of His diety. Because when the leader of the NWO comes (the anti-Christ) many will be fooled into thinking he's the real deal. This is exactly what the devil wants.

P.S.S: Ever read Hebrews 9:10 in the NIV? "...Until the time of the New Order." KJV: "....time of reformation." Oh, and the WT's Bible: New World Translation....'nuff said!

Oh, what? Let the thumbs down commence. Don't believe the NWT is based on W&H, or something? Guess what? I have a 1984 ed. of the NWT which states, right in the "Foreword", that their 1969 Kingdom Interlinear Translation was "a literal word-for-word translation into English" of the W&H manuscript. And, what, pray tell, is the NWT, but a newer WT version of their older K.I.T.? Surely, everyone knows that??

Many people have been lied to and continue to believe the lie.

The removal is in gnostically altered versions of manuscripts and therefore many modern translations and versions.

Some of the oldest manuscripts are from gnostic sources. This does not make them correct and does not make this verse an addition to the Word of God.

The Copts use altered versions of many books and deny the Word came in the Flesh and was quickened in the Flesh on return after releasing the prisoners.

The difficulty is often that non-trinitarians are two dimensional thinkers and cannot think in three dimensions.

They attempt to limit God to human limitations. They are foolish in thinking this way.

The people that became the Copts were influenced by the gnostics which refused to believe that Jesus is the Messiah.

Non-trinitarians that profess Christianity revert to Westcott and Hort which used channaling/spiritism to "translate" and Coptic texts.

This is heresy and some of the teachers of it know it.

It will not go well for them.

The most authoritative Bibles either do not include the contrived phrase mentioned in this question (from 1 John 5:7), or plainly note that including the phrase is worse than apocryphal... it's spurious!

Here are a few examples of modern Bibles which recognize the undeniable inauthenticity of the questioner's focus phrase...

New American Standard Bible

For there are three that testify:

GOD'S WORD® Translation

There are three witnesses:

American Standard Version

And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is the truth.

Bible in Basic English

And the Spirit is the witness, because the Spirit is true.

Darby Bible Translation

English Revised Version

And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is the truth.

World English Bible

For there are three who testify :

Four hundred years ago in 1611, the King James Version was NOT translated from the original Greek manuscripts, but from later Latin translations, thus explaining why the King James is a "version" rather than a "translation".

In KJV, the actual verse 1 John 5:7 is preceded by the phrase "“In heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.". This pivotal phrase occurs nowhere in any the oldest Greek manuscripts, and its oldest occurrence has been authoritatively traced to a handwritten note in the margin of a later translation into the Latin language. Likely because trinitarianism draws almost no support from the actual Scriptures, trinitarians found it convenient to pretend that this counterfeit human addition to God's word should be perpetuated (since it served their selfish purposes to do so).

.. ..(Revelation 22:18) To everyone that hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone makes an addition to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this scroll

.. ..(Galatians 1:8) However, even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to you as good news something beyond what we declared to you as good news, let him be accursed.

.. ..(Deuteronomy 4:2) You must not add to the word that I am commanding you

.. ..(2 Corinthians 11:3-4) I am afraid that somehow, as the serpent seduced Eve by its cunning, your minds might be corrupted away from the sincerity and the chastity that are due the Christ. For, as it is, if someone comes and preaches a Jesus other than the one we preached, ...you [so-called Christians] easily put up with him.

.. ..(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God

Ironically, a frank discussion of spurious verses such as 1 John 5:7 works to expose the shaky foundations of trinitarianism, showing that it rests on dubious misapplications of perhaps ten Bible verses. By contrast, entire passages and important Bible concepts literally require Jesus the Son to be a separate person from God the Father. Who created Jesus? To whom did Jesus pray? Who resurrected Jesus? At whose right hand does Jesus sit?

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that their worship is a restoration of biblical Christianity, as practiced by the apostles and first century Christians. They recognize Christ (Jesus the Son) as the foundation cornerstone of true Christian worship. Of course, the Bible teaches that God Himself (Jehovah the Father) is the "builder".

.. ..(Isaiah 28:16) Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said: “Here I am laying as a foundation in Zion a stone, a tried stone, the precious corner of a sure foundation.

.. ..(Acts 4:10-11) Jesus Christ the Nazarene... This is ‘the stone that was treated by you builders as of no account that has become the head of the corner.’

.. ..(Hebrews 11:10) the city having real foundations, the builder and maker of which city is God.

Really, it is the Bible rather than any human tradition, catechism, or post-biblical writing which can reveal the truth about Jesus Christ. Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians; they teach that Christ was and is divine and of the same nature as God. What does the Bible teach about Jesus?

Jehovah's Witnesses understand the Bible to teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe!

Jehovah's Witnesses love and respect and honor Christ. However, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Scriptures quite plainly demonstrate that Jesus and the Almighty are separate distinct persons, and the Almighty created Jesus as His firstborn son.

.. ..(Colossians 1:15) the firstborn of all creation

.. ..(Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: 'Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.

.. ..(Revelation 3:14) the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God

.. ..(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God

.. ..(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth

.. ..(John 12:49) I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak

.. ..(John 14:28) I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am

.. ..(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him

.. ..(Matthew 20:23) this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father

.. ..(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God

.. ..(John 20:17) I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.

.. ..(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah

.. ..(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him

Thanks again for an opportunity to share what the Bible actually says about the distinct persons of Jesus Christ the Son and Jehovah God the Father!

Good question, glad you asked it.

1 John 5:7 as it appears in KJV of 1611 and Roman Catholic Douay of 1609 was added by RC leaders and copied by Protestants as a play on John 10:30 to fake the trinity doctrine (couldn't be used for any other teaching).

It is corrected in all Protestant and Roman Catholic modern English Bibles except the NKJV (footnote editions DO make mention that it is spurious or added in later to the text). I'll cut and paste a bunch for you from Bible Gateway and from Roman Catholic Bibles online.

Bible Gateway first:

I'm pasting verses 5-8 so you can see content, but the KJV/Douay trinity expression you quoted does not appear in any.

6 This is the One, Jesus Christ, who came by means of water and blood; 268 not in just the water but in the water and in the blood; 269 and the Pneuma is the thing bearing witness, 270 because the Pneuma is the truth. 271 268 Who came by means of water and blood: TCN: he it is whose Coming was attested by means of Water and Blood. Many think this refers to the water of baptism and the blood shed on the Tree. Matthew 3:16, “After being immersed Jesus quickly rose up out of the water.” Hebrews 9:22, “… everything is cleansed with blood.”

269 Not in just the water but in the water and in the blood: Again, John repeats himself, possibly for emphasis.

270 The Pneuma is the thing bearing witness: Or, TCN: and there is the Spirit also to bear testimony. Matthew 3:16, “He saw the Pneuma of God descending like a dove upon Jesus.” [NCMM Paraphrase] (John 1:33; Luke 4:16) The word pneuma (spirit) is used 7 times in 1 John. (1 John 3:24; 4:1, 2, 13; 5:6, 8) “God” is used 68 times in 1 John; Son, 23 times; Jesus, 13 times; Father, 13 times.

271 The Pneuma is the truth: KJV: the Spirit is truth; TCN: and the Spirit is Truth itself. 1 Timothy 3:16, “He became visible in the flesh, was justified in spirit.” See phrase “spirit of the truth” at John 14:17; 15:26; 16:13.

1JN5:7 Because those bearing witness are three 272 – 272 Those bearing witness are three: KJV adds, “in the earth.” See notes on 1 John 5:7 elsewhere in Nazarene Commentary 2000©. Matthew 18:16, “Three witnesses confirm testimony.” [NCMM Paraphrase]

1JN5:8 the Pneuma and the water and the blood, and the three are one. 273273 The three are one: Or, WEY: have the same purpose; NEB: are in agreement; MOF: and the three of them are in accord. Research one in John chapters 10 and 17. There is a “triune formula” here: spirit, water, blood. John misses any opportunity he might have used to declare or define a Trinity.

While there is much controversy over these verses, my research shows the King James to be accurate. I believe that the reason that part of the verse appears in the margins in some transcripts was an attempt to CORRECT the corrupted texts.

"1 John 5:7-8 has been attacked by the pro modern version crowd as being a scribal addition later on in years. However, 1 John 5:7-8 is found in the Old Latin Vulgate and Greek Vulgate (90-150 A.D.), plus the Syriac Peshiito (150 A.D.) It is also found in many first century church lectionaries. Lectionaries were used in churches for readings and liturgy for church services especially for special days of the year. They are akin to the responsive readings which we find in today’s hymn books. Tatian’s Diatesseron which was a harmony of the four gospels written about 150 A.D. When Taitian was writing the book of John, he had referenced 1 John 5:7 which proves that 1 John 5:7 antedates Vaticanus and Sinaiticus, by 200 years, where the verse is omitted."

Actually, you will find that many more Bible translations read like the NWT and NOT like the KJV.

In this case, you should ask, why did the KJV ADD those words?
Bernard Jean-Pierre
2008-06-06 12:26:48 UTC
Its because they have badly and purposely translated the Bible in order to support the Trinity. The NWT reads correctly and is in harmony with the original manuscripts. Note what is stated below.

"In 1729 there appeared here in England a diglot version of the Christian Greek Scriptures by Daniel Mace. In a fourteen-page note he listed the Greek and Latin manuscripts, ancient versions, early Greek and Latin writers that omitted the text and threw it out with this conclusion, “In a word, if this evidence is not sufficient to prove, that the controverted text in St. John is spurious; by what evidence can it be prov’d, that any text in St. John is genuine?”6 Thereafter, other English translations began to omit the verse, such as the one by William Whiston (1745), well known for his translation of Josephus, and that by John Worsley in 1770.

If Edward Gibbon thought the wheel had turned full circle when he published The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire in 1781 he was mistaken. With his usual sarcasm he denounced the passage as a “pious fraud.”7 Up rose another champion, George Travis, an archdeacon, who rushed into action to defend the text. His extreme statements elicited crushing replies from Professor Richard Porson (running to over 400 pages) and Herbert Marsh, a bishop. At last the interpolation was exposed in a minute and most exact manner.

THE LAST STRONGHOLD GIVES WAY

After Porson and Marsh there was little to add. Most scholars of the nineteenth century considered the matter settled, but one stronghold remained, the Roman Catholic Church.

As late as 1897 a papal decree was issued forbidding the faithful to doubt the “comma Johanneum.” In part it said:

“Secretariat of the Congregation of the Holy Office of the Inquisition. Concerning the authenticity of the text of 1 John V. 7. (Wednesday, Jan. 12, 1897).

“In a General Congregation of the Holy Roman Inquisition . . . the following doubtful question was presented:

“‘Whether we may safely deny, or even treat as a matter of doubt, the authenticity of that text (1 John V. 7). . . ’

“All things having been most diligently examined and weighed, and the opinion of the Lords Consultors having been taken, the aforesaid Most Eminent Cardinals gave out ‘the answer is in the negative.’ On Friday the 15th of the aforesaid month and year, in the usual audience granted to reverend father the lord Assessor of the Holy Office, after that he had made an exact report of the aforesaid proceedings to our Most Holy Lord Pope Leo XIII, His Holiness approved and confirmed the resolution of these Most Eminent Fathers . . . ”—Acta Sanctae Sedis, vol. 29. 1896-7. p. 637.

But Pope Leo soon realized that he had been imposed upon, and in 1902 he established a commission to study Scripture more closely, directing it to begin with 1 John 5:7, 8. Because the report was unfavorable to the earlier decree it had to be put aside, but the pope continued to be worried by the situation right up to his death. Some Roman Catholic scholars began to ignore the decree. Dr. Vogels omitted the text from his Greek Testament published in 1920. Others were at first more cautious.

In the Roman Catholic Westminster Version of the New Testament published in 1931 the footnote to 1 John 5:7, 8 after calling attention to its omission in the original text continues, “Until further action be taken by the Holy See it is not open to Catholic editors to eliminate the words from a version made for the use of the faithful.”8 But in the same version republished as one volume in 1947 the interpolation is omitted, editor Cuthbert Lattey citing the Greek text published by Jesuit scholar A. Merk, which also omits it.

So the prospect envisaged by Professor J. Scott Porter in 1848 has come true. “It is to be hoped,” he wrote, after summing up the evidence on 1 John 5:7, 8, “the time will soon come when those who have the charge of preparing editions of the Bible for general circulation, will be ashamed of sending forth a known interpolation as a portion of the sacred text.”9 In recent times the discovery of such Bible manuscripts as the Codex Sinaiticus has confirmed that this particular verse was no part of God’s inspired Word.

In brief summary the words of that well-known textual critic F. H. A. Scrivener can be quoted: “We need not hesitate to declare our conviction that the disputed words were not written by St. John: that they were originally brought into Latin copies in Africa from the margin, where they had been placed as a pious and orthodox gloss on ver. 8: that from the Latin they crept into two or three late Greek codices, and thence into the printed Greek text, a place to which they had no rightful claim.”10

Our faith in God’s Word is greatly strengthened when we review the story of this text and reflect on the abundance of evidence from all sources that testifies to the accuracy of the Bible we hold in our hand."

Basically put this is known interpolation of the Bible, badly translated and used to TRY to support the Trinity.

This is Satan's way of decieving the world.

This is Satan's way of discrediting God.

I get upset when I see so many things they have changed in their Bible..They study the "truth" with people with this bible..sure they say they can use any bible..but they don't. If they can use "any" bible ..then why the heck did the make their own? What was the point of that?..They put the name Jehovah in the NT where it wasn't suppose to be..and they don't question anything! Nothing..they never question anything. They treat the WTBS as if they were God. They are so blinded..I am so grateful that God opened my eyes.

Its funny how once your eyes are opened..you see everything so clearly..The Bible has a simple , pure, beautiful message and it doesn't take the WT to explain it..The Holy Spirit will teach you what you don't understand..

The NIV perverts the deity of Jesus Christ!

I TIMOTHY 3:16: The clearest verse in the Bible proclaiming that Jesus Christ was God. The King James Bible (KJB) reads, "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH. . ." The King James says, plainly, "GOD was manifest in the flesh". The NIV reads, "HE appeared in a body". The NIV "twists" "GOD" to "HE". "HE appeared in a body"? So What? Everyone has "appeared in a body"! "He" is a pronoun that refers to a noun or antecedent. There is no antecedent in the context! The statement does NOT make sense! The NIV subtilty (see Genesis 3:1) perverts I Timothy 3:16 into utter nonsense!

PHILIPPIANS 2:6: The KJB again, clearly declares the deity of Jesus Christ: "Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery TO BE EQUAL WITH GOD" The NIV reads, "Who, being in very nature God, DID NOT CONSIDER EQUALITY WITH GOD something to be grasped,". The NIV again subtitly perverts the deity of Jesus Christ!

The NIV perverts the virgin birth!

LUKE 2:33: The King James Bible reads, "And JOSEPH and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him." The NIV reads, "The CHILD'S FATHER and mother marveled at what was said about him." The "CHILD'S FATHER"? Was Joseph Jesus's father? Not if you believe the virgin birth! Not if you believe John 3:16, that Jesus Christ was the Son of God! A subtil, "perversion" of the virgin birth. See also Luke 2:43.

The NIV removes the blood of Jesus Christ!

COLOSSIANS 1:14: The KJB reads, "In whom we have redemption THROUGH HIS BLOOD, even the forgiveness of sins:" The NIV reads, "In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." The NIV rips out the precious words "THROUGH HIS BLOOD"! Friend, redemption is ONLY "THROUGH HIS BLOOD". Hebrews 9:22, reads, ". . . without shedding of BLOOD is no remission." That old song says, "What can wash away my sins, NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS!"

The NIV perverts John 3:16 into a LIE!

JOHN 3:16: The NIV reads, "For God so loved the world that he gave his ONE AND ONLY SON, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" Jesus was NOT "the one and only son" - Adam is called the "son of God" in Luke 3:38, there are "sons of God" in Job 1:6 and Christians are called "sons of God" in Phil 2:15, I John 3:2- but Jesus was the "ONLY BEGOTTEN SON"! By removing the critical word "BEGOTTEN" - The NIV perverts John 3:16 into a LIE! The NIV does the same in John 1:14, 1:18, and 3:18.

The NIV perverts TRUTH into LIES!

The NIV perverts Mark 1:2,3 into a LIE! The NIV reads "It is written in Isaiah the prophet: I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way-a voice of one calling in the desert, Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him." It is NOT written in Isaiah! "I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way" - is found in Malachi 3:1! The King James correctly reads: "As it is written in the PROPHETS, . . ." A better translation! Easier to read - BY A LIE!

Psalms 119:160 says, "Thy word is TRUE. . ." John 17:17 says, ". . . thy word is TRUTH." Titus 1:2 clearly says, ". . . God that CANNOT LIE" How could the God of Titus 1:2 be the God of Mark 1:2,3 in the NIV!? IT IS IMPOSSIBLE! For Hebrews 6:18 clearly declares, ". . . it was IMPOSSIBLE for God to LIE" It is impossible for the LIES in the NIV to be the words of GOD! Whose words are they? I'll give you a hint - Jesus Christ calls him "A LIAR, and the father of it" in John 8:44!

The NIV again openly LIES in 2 Samuel 21:19, ". . . Elhanan son of Jaare-Oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver's rod." What 8-year-old doesn't know that David killed Goliath?

Romans 1:18-32 describes the "path to perversion" and verse 25, describes their decline, "Who changed the TRUTH of God into a LIE. . ."! Not surprisingly, The NIV perverts Romans 1:25 from "CHANGED the truth of God INTO a lie" to "EXCHANGED the truth of God FOR a lie"!

The NIV and sexual perversion!

Romans 1:26-32 also shows the "fruits" of "sowing" ". . . the TRUTH of God into a LIE. . ." Verses 26-27 says "FOR THIS CAUSE (vs 25 for "changing the TRUTH of God into a LIE") God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, . . ."

The last few years homosexuality and sexual perversion have "exploded" into the mainstream. Legislation is now pending making same-sex marriages legal. Books such as Heather Has Two Mommies and Daddy's Roommate, promoting homosexuality, are in our schools. According to The Washington Post, bisexuality and homosexuality, are the "in thing" in our public schools. And even churches are now welcoming homosexuals and are even ordaining them in the ministry!

A literary critic on the NIV translation was homosexual author Dr. Virginia Mollenkott. In Episcopal, Witness (June 1991, pp. 20-23), she admits, "My lesbianism has ALWAYS been a part of me. . ." To no surprise, "sodomite" is completely removed from the NIV. (Deut. 23:17, I Kings 14:24, 15:12, 22:46, II Kings 23:7) And of course, I Cor. 6:9, ". . . effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. . ." is replaced with the non-offensive ". . . nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders. . ." Notice the NIV in I Cor. 6:9 does NOT condemn "homosexuals" or the "act of homosexuality" - but ONLY "homosexual OFFENDERS".

The NIV & Zondervan

A little known fact: In 1988 Zondervan and the NIV was purchased by Harper & Row, Publishers (now HarperCollins Publishers). HarperCollins publishes "pro-homosexual" books such as Making Out, The Book of Lesbian Sex and Sexuality described as "Beautifully illustrated with full-color photography,. . . Making Out is the complete illustrated guide to lesbian sexuality and relationships. . .the intricacies of love play. . ." and many other pro-homosexual books!

HarperCollins is a subsidiary of the global media empire, The News Corporation, owned by Rupert Murdock. The News Corporation empire include Fox Broadcasting, Twentieth Century Fox, and more than 128 newspapers. Fox Broadcasting produces some of the most sexually lewd shows on television. Murdock also publishes the British newspaper, the Sun, notorious for its nude pin-ups.

VERY IMPORTANT! For the REAL PROOF Check out this link to HarperCollins

Now where is Don Wildmon when we really need him? Don was quick to boycott Kmart because subsidiary, Waldenbooks sold Playboy and Penthouse. Kmart can't "hold a candle" to the "filth" spewed by The News Corporation. Why isn't Don boycotting Zondervan and the NIV? Friend, every time you purchase the NIV you are giving to people who produce pro-homosexuality, pornographic material — AND THE SATANIC BIBLE! "Can two walk together, except they be AGREED?" Amos 3:3

Jesus Christ plainly said in Matthew 7:17-18:

Even so every GOOD tree bringeth forth GOOD fruit; but a CORRUPT tree bringeth forth EVIL FRUIT. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a CORRUPT tree bring forth GOOD FRUIT. (Matthew 7:17-18)

Do you think Jesus Christ was LIEING?

Do you really believe God would ALLOW His HOLY word to be "owned" by that group? ". . .for what fellowship hath RIGHTEOUSNESS with UNRIGHTEOUSNESS? and what communion hath light with darkness?"2 Cor. 6:14

Do you actually believe God would ALLOW His Holy Word to published by the same ungodly people who publish the Satanic Bible?

Being born again, not of CORRUPTIBLE seed, but of INCORRUPTIBLE, by the WORD OF GOD, which liveth and abideth for ever. (1 Peter 1:23)

Isn't it EQUALLY amazing that the King James Bible is the ONLY Bible that is not OWNED by men?

That's right! The King James Bible has no COPYRIGHT ownership! It's copyright is the CROWN COPYRIGHT which ALLOWS it to be published by ANYONE, ANYTIME! Without asking ANYBODY for permission!

". . .but the word of God is NOT BOUND." 2 Timothy 2:9

The NIV robs Jesus Christ of worship!

In Matt. 8:2, 9:18, 15:25, 18:26, 20:20, Mark 5:6, 15:19 "worshipped him" is removed in the NIV! Why doesn't the NIV want Jesus Christ to be worshipped? Hint: see Luke 4:7, Matt. 4:9.

The NIV perverts Jesus Christ into Lucifer!

Isaiah 14:14 reveals Satan's grandest desire, "I will be like the most High." And with a little subtil perversion - the NIV in Isaiah 14:12 grants Satan's wish!

ISAIAH 14:12: The KJB reads, "How art thou fallen from heaven, O LUCIFER, son of the morning!. . ." The NIV PERversion reads, "How you have fallen from heaven, O MORNING STAR, son of the dawn. . ." The NIV change "Lucifer" to "MORNING STAR".

BUT WAIT. . . I thought the Lord Jesus Christ was the MORNING STAR?

Doesn't Revelation 22:16 say, "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and MORNING STAR".

The NIV CLEARY AND BLATANTLY makes LUCIFER -- The Lord Jesus Christ! WHAT BLASPHEMY! WHAT PE

1Jn 5:6 ....it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

1Jn 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

There is only one Spirit, one God. That God is the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost. These are differnt manifestations of God, not different persons in a Godhead.

Deut 6 :4.... The LORD our God is one LORD:

Act 2:36 ... Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit

Jesus is both LORD (Jehovah, the one true God) and Christ (the man promised to redeem us.) That God laid down the human life that he had taken up for us.

Act 2:36 ... Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

1Co 2:8 ...crucified the Lord of glory.

1Jn 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

1John 3:1-5 Father...was manifested to take away our sins...

Joh 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Joh 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.

Isaiah says Jesus it the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father born into the world as the Son. .

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Now is that what Paul said? Yes.

Tim 3:16 ...: God was manifest in the flesh, ...

Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us?...

So Jesus is God the Father manifest in flesh.

John 20 :28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.

29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

So Jesus told Thomas that he is blessed for believing that he is Jehovah, the Lord our God. You see, the Son is not a second person of some mysterious trinity. The Son is Jehovah (the one true God) in flesh. The God existing as a man.

The confession of the Old Testament is

Deut 6 :4.... The LORD our God is one LORD:

This is New Testament confession also as.

1 Cor 12...Jesus is the Lord.

Jesus is Jehovah in flesh. Jehovah in flesh is called the Son.

Jesus Christ is God existing as a man without ceasing to exist as the eternal omnipotent ever present Spirit.

There is only one divine Spirit

Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, ...

Jesus is not a separate person from the Father. God is one. Jesus is the Father existing as a real human being. The Father did not cease to exist as the eternal all powerful Spirit when he began to exist as a man.

John 20 :28And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.

29Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Son of God = Son of Man = Christ = Messiah = God in flesh

Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

God (existing as a man) went on to die on a cross

Corinthians 2 :7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

It was the blood of God (existing as a man) that was shed.

Acts 20 :28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

The Almighty God himself became the Lamb of God to die a sacrificial death for us.

Revelation 1 :7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 4 :8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,

10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Jesus said

John 14 :7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

Jesus Christ, our Everlasting Father in flesh, is the only God, the only Savior.

Isaiah 43 :10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

Look back up to Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

(Lord with a capital L is always God, Jehovah)

Oh, wonder of wonders that my God would take on a human existence to die for me!

I John 3: 16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

God did not, by the way, stop being everywhere at the same time because of his incarnation as a man. He did not cease to exist in the way that he has always existed. The incarnation is God taking on another existence in addition to the way he has always existed. When Jesus was talking to Nicodemus he said was in heaven at the same time.

John 3 :13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

After the incarnation God exists as the eternal spirit and also as a man who is God existing as a human being. That incarnation is not a separate person but another way that God exists.

Deut 6 :4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

God did not "put on a robe of humanity." He began to exist as an actual real human being without ceasing to exist as the Spirit who is everywhere. There are not 2 people here. There is one God existing as an ever-present and all powerful spirit and as a real man at the same time. This is the "mystery of godliness."

1 Tim 3. :15 ... the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

16 ...the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

1 Cor 8 :6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

Romans 9 :5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

This mystery that God became the Christ himself by beginning to exist as the man Jesus is the truth that the church is supposed to be the pillar and ground of.

1 Tim 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

This mystery is the gospel Paul preached. It is not a mystery of a mysterious trinity that can't be understood. It is the revealed good news that our God, the Lord of glory, became flesh to die for us.

Eph 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Rom 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

1Cor 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

This mystery is the gospel Peter preached. Jesus is both LORD (Jehovah) and Christ.

Act 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

The church is supposed to be the pillar and ground of the truth of this mystery because we must know that the Lord our God is one Lord and that Jesus is that one Lord (I AM) or we will die in our sins.

John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit

The Lord our God is one Lord.
