Question:
Has God given all of us spiritual gifts?

Has He? I have believed for a long time that God has given each person something that they excelled at in their day to day ministry. That each person was good at something. But lately I've been dealing with this nagging question, what has God given me to help with my ministry/life? I'm not particularly social or charismatic, I'm a bit of a cynic sometimes. While certainly not stupid, I'm not gifted in the field of academia, and my artistic skills are borderline non existent. What has God done for me? I'm really struggling with this right now.

Trolls: Not today please. I normally don't care, but please not today.

Since you are asking only about the Christian God, I'll answer you in this limited fashion, St. Francis of Assisi said, preach the Gospel, and if necessary, use words. In other words, walk the walk, don't talk the talk. What does that mean? Read Matthew 7:5 - 7:12. Regardless of whatever other gifts you possess, if you can actually manage to live your life via the golden rule, that will put you head and shoulders above most other preachers and ministers.

The presents are nonetheless obtainable. Cessationism and dispensationalism (a non secular ministry or interest lasting for a fastened era) say that the presents have been given entirely for the beginning place of the Church and complete the two on the dying of the final Apostle or the employer of the Scriptural canon on the Council of Carthage (397 CE). They cite a million Corinthians 13:8-10. despite if, the argument doesn’t frequently circulate into the meaning of here verse 12: ‘...for now we see in a mirror dimly, yet then head to head; now i understand partly, yet then i visit understand totally only as I even have been totally widely used.’ the only way the ‘ideal’ or ‘finished’ comes is as quickly as we are head to head in heaven with Christ and purely then will all of us understand totally as we've been totally widely used. purely then will the partial (the presents) be carried out away.

It is genetics, not God that gives us different gifts.

Numerous studies have shown that adopted kids raised in very different environments have had similar talents and interest as their biological parents. There are many different skills and abilities that can lead to success. The trick is finding what you are best at and working on it.

There must be something that interests you. Something you find yourself spending most of you leisure time doing or wish you could do.

you are a human being. All humans are basically the same and have the same skills. I guarantee that if you really devote yourself to some discipline and work hard and consistently you will eventually be able to do things you didn't know you were able to do...the same is true with everyone. We are all born with very little, but our ability to learn, adapt, and the effect of our experience on our character is quite impressive.

Nope. We excel in our own way. We better ourselves and work to achieve. That's one of the few things no one else can influence. If you want to be a better academic, then try studying more often, or if you want to be more artistic take drawing classes, or maybe just sit awhile and imagine.

Do you also believe Santa will bring you toys if you were good this year. He is watching you.

@Fireball - Wisdom? That's a laugh. Certainly not wisdom in the area of science.

You should ask this of all the starving children in the refugee camps around the world .. or the starving, abused children anywhere else on the planet.... oh, that's right, 'he' only ever acknowledges white people.

there is no such thing as spirituality we are all flesh and bone with hormones, neurons and other chemicals running our bodies, you don't become "spiritual" by clasping your hands together and looking at the sky and you don't become "mystical" by wearing loose fitting black clothes and waving your arms about

God doesn't give diddly-squat to anybody.

However I learned mine from Buddhism.

Faith is a mental factor whose primary function is to remove doubt, doubt can only be experienced thru meditation, once "doubt" is realized, the awareness that it is there requires the strength of concentration to prevent it from becoming controlling. Only when this has occurred one can say they have experienced faith, albeit a very small amount of faith. Which is why in Buddhism, we practice complex visualizations to increase the chances of doubt, so we can develop our powers of concentration which make our faith stronger.

Only thru Faith can miracles be performed, not faith in something, just faith, a concentration of mind that removes doubt.

Matthew 17:20

He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
