Question:
Do Animals Go To Heaven?

Question for Christians. I do not believe that animals go to heaven. I've heard people say that dogs go to "dog heaven" but that just can't be true. For there to be human heaven and dog heaven there would have to be human God and dog God. If there is only one heaven and dogs go to heaven, then so would all animals, including (pet) snakes, (pet) fish, and Mosquitos. I don't want Mosquitos in heaven. I believe that humans and only humans have an eternal soul (we got this when God breathed life into Adam). Animals have a soul that dies when they die. Do you agree? If not, please explain, I'd like to hear another perspective.

I am a Christian and I believe that all animals go to Heaven, that humans are not somehow "different". Any idea of humans having a special place, the universe revolving around humans just seems like human arrogance to me. As for insects, I can't say, (edit) though maybe there is a Heaven for them or maybe mosquitoes will no longer need to bite other creatures for blood (edit over). However, cats, dogs, elephants, whales, and many other kinds of animals display the same types of emotions that humans have and have some level of intelligence.

The Bible even calls animals souls with the word "nephesh", mentions the lion and lamb in Heaven, horses and various types of creatures in the book or Revelation, etc.

I am not Christian but if you are open mind, I will tell you what happen. The soul is not human nor animal. The soul is the living force of every living organism. Humans do not go to heaven, is the soul who goes, the human body become dust (or merge all the elements with the earth) since the body is just that, material elements. Animals are in the process of spiritual evolution. If an animal dies, the soul goes to the next higher body until the soul gets a human form. From the human form, he can know God, and can (the soul) go to God.

Genesis 2:7 - we do not HAVE souls - we are souls.

Ecclesiastes 3:18-22 helps answer this question. As the one dies, so does the other.

And we know from 1st Peter 2:12 that animals were made to die - not to live forever, on earth or heaven. Their home is the earth - they were made for the benefit of man - Genesis 1:26-28.

Man was made in God's image, but not the animals.

No, animals do not go to heaven. Animals do not have a soul, nor do humans. We are souls--we do not have a soul. When God made Adam, the Scriptures say that "Adam became a living soul", it does not say that God gave ADam a soul. The Book of Genesis also describes men and animals ARE, IN FACT, SOULS--they DO NOT have a soul.

Genesis 2:7: “Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and THE MAN CAME TO BE A LIVING SOUL.” (The first man, Adam, was a soul.)

Genesis 1:20 & 24: “Let the earth put forth living souls according to their kinds, domestic animal and moving animal and wild beast of the earth according to its kind.” (Animals are souls)

When I get to heaven, I'll find out for certain.

If you make it to heaven, you, too, can find out.

Edit: On a more positive note, the only thing that keeps anything out of heaven is sin; and dogs don't sin; and the Bible talks about certain animals that will be there, so there is no reason to suppose that animals would be kept out - if it was a pet that you loved and cherished, and because God loves you and wants your happiness for eternity. But I will not say with any certainty, just that I can not find any reason why not.

There's no proof or record in the Bible of an animal heaven, this has also bewildered me in the past that the only creatures that get to live for eternity are humans, but there's no valid records for it, the only thing the Bible says is that animals do not go to heaven or at least our (human heaven).

Yes, I believe that animals go to heaven. And sure you probably wouldn't want mosquitos into heaven but they're beautiful (although annoying) creatures of nature. If you don't mosquitos in heaven, you must not want your beloved dogs or cats to go to heaven. But who knows, maybe there is a separate heaven for animals? I'm curious about that too :)

First off, people say dogs go to dog heaven because they don't want kids to be sad. There is only one heaven. I don't know if animals go to heaven... People go to heaven if they believe in god, but idk about animals... I guess we find out when we get there

Look into a puppy's eyes and just try to tell yourself it doesn't have a soul.
