Question:
How do I save my son's soul? I don't want him to burn in H*ck forever?

I am a devout Christian, and yesterday, I was logged into my son's Myspace page, and I seen that he used the word "H*ll" completely uncensored.

In my old church, I was beat by mama when I tried to use that word, and I cannot stand by and allow him to insult the bible in such a way. So, If I use the word(usually out of emotion) I censor it or just use the word "H*ck" in it's place.

The problem is he is 23 years old, I want to save his soul, so that he doesn't burn in H*ll forever.

I need some passages from the bible to help me through these trying times.... Please help me save his soul, and save him from an eternity of burning in the fiery depths of H*ck.

If you truly ARE a devout Christian, then you should know that YOU can't do ANYTHING to save your son.

Only JESUS can save him.

As for Bible quotes, here's one to keep in mind:

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

Galatians 6:7 (KJV)

Given the choice of going to heaven or to hell, the thinking person will choose hell every time. All the most interesting people are there, while heaven is a boring place where sanctimonious folks hang around with nothing to do.

In hell, you have the chance of meeting Aristotle and all the Greek philosophers, such luminaries as Pablo Picasso, Benjamin Britten, Albert Einstein, Lord Byron, Walt Whitman, Mark Twain, Thomas Mann, Mozart, Thomas Edison, George Bernard Shaw, and many, many others. In heaven, no doubt, you can spend lots of time with Jerry Falwell.

Shaw himself made this point very well in his play-within-a-play, Don Juan In Hell, in Man And Superman.

I don't think you are for real. Are you sure you are not making this up just to make Christians look bad?

*What is the ‘torment’ to which these texts refer? It is noteworthy that at Revelation 11:10 (KJ) reference is made to ‘prophets that torment those dwelling on the earth.’ Such torment results from humiliating exposure by the messages that these prophets proclaim. At Revelation 14:9-11 (KJ) worshipers of the symbolic “beast and his image” are said to be “tormented with fire and brimstone.” This cannot refer to conscious torment after death because “the dead know not any thing.” (Eccl. 9:5, KJ) Then, what causes them to experience such torment while they are still alive? It is the proclamation by God’s servants that worshipers of the “beast and his image” will experience second death, which is represented by “the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone.” The smoke, associated with their fiery destruction, ascends forever because the destruction will be eternal and will never be forgotten. When Revelation 20:10 says that the Devil is to experience ‘torment forever and ever’ in “the lake of fire and brimstone,” what does that mean? Revelation 21:8 (KJ) says clearly that “the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone” means “the second death.” So the Devil’s being “tormented” there forever means that there will be no relief for him; he will be held under restraint forever, actually in eternal death. This use of the word “torment” (from the Greek ba′sa·nos) reminds one of its use at Matthew 18:34, where the same basic Greek word is applied to a ‘jailer.’—RS, AT, ED, NW.

Can you see heaven ? can you talk to those in heaven ? Are you sure , you are going to heaven ?

Answer these as a matter of fact rather than as a matter of bible. Ensure first , that you are on firm ground before you try to save another else when the flood comes ........

I dont mean to frighten you but the hard fact is that no one can reform his/her own children . The best way is to reform oneself. You are related to each other while you are alive , when you are not , no one knows where each one goes.

According to Buddha the system of the world is based upon rebirths. In every rebirth you get new bodies , new relations and all past is forgotten. Buddha & Jesus both chose to forget & ignore bodily relations . Remember , when mother of Jesus came to meet him , Jesus said she is not my mother but in truth you (the disciples) are the real dear ones. Why ? Jesus chose to ignore his real mother. Similarly when the mother of Buddha gave him a sweater as a gift woven by her own hands , Buddha chose to reject it and asked her to rather give it to other monks because he had risen above the bodily relations.

Therefore , rise above , meet your objective , be something that your son would be awed about it . Then only something can happen , but alas, for the pleasures of flesh in the young ones.

You can not save your son's soul, it is something that he has to decide to do on his own. What you can do is give him over to the Jesus and continue to pray for him to get saved. I am speaking from experience, my mother is also a on fire Christian and she loves the Lord soo much.My Mother instead of being judgemnetal since I was not saved she keep me covered in her prayers and it worked, at the age of 14, I gave my life to Christ I am now 30. What did it for me was seeing how happy my mother was being saved and the things I seen the lord do in her life as a result of her salvation.

I will say this I am confused as to why you feel that hell is a bad word. It is mention in the bible several times. I will keep you and your son in my prayers, just keep in mind that Jesus can do the impossible:)

ok so there is apparently a lot of 5 year olds on here trying to anger everyone

But "H*ck" itself is not a bad word when used in the context of the place where non-Christians go. Only when used as a curse word does it become sinful.

You cannot save your son, but you can pray for him. Pray for his salvation and comfort for yourself. I find that God will comfort me if I focus on Him. But remember, just because he uses "H*ck" a lot, it does not mean he is not a Christian.

First and foremost heck is not a swear word. Secondly the word Hell is not a bad word either, it is a descriptive word of a place Christians think non believers/sinners go when they die. You have some serious issues.

Hi! You already are doing your job! God is listening to your pleas. He will not let you down. Your job as a parent is to pray, support, love and fast for your child. Fast on little things. Don't watch TV for a night or give up dessert. Next, remember that you cannot save anyone. Only God can. Leave it up to him and trust him. God loves it when you trust him. At 23 yrs. old, He is an adult and you can tell him your feelings, but then leave it up to our Lord. Remember also that God loves your son more than you do. Your son is so lucky to have you on his side. You are a good parent! God Bless!

Are you serious? You're worried about your adult offspring saying the word "hell"? Even devout Christians can say that word unflinchingly. I'm curious, is it just the h-e-double hockeystick word that bothers you, or would the f-bomb also be an issue?

heck doesn't have fiery flames,

Hell does.

you need some serious head work.

you cannot save your sons soul, for you to think so tells me you are not Christian.

anything not Christian is of th eanti Christ.

think about it, and knock of the dramatics.

Besides, your child is of adult age, he will make his own choices whether you ike them or not.

its probably time for you to start thinking about how you plan on avoiding the

FIERY FLAMES OF HELL.

your son needs to change his password and maybe get a new myspace name. hell is not a profane word. its slightly rude but thats it. hes 23, meaning hes mature enough to make his own decisions. so where in the bible does it say its a sin to say hell, or do you just believe this b/c your parents literally beat it into you.

you logged into his myspace? isnt he a bit old for you to be checking up on him? maybe its an act of rebellion against you, or maybe he doesnt believe the same things as you anymore since he's all grown up and independant and has formed his own opinions about the world.

Ok so lemme get this straight:

your son is 23 years old and your spying on him like some nosy @$s parent spying on his teenage son. hes not some teenager her is a grown @$s man. you prolly have his myspace bookmarked as your homepage dont ya?

Well ya wanted some scripture outta the holy book so here ya go

Matthew 5:22

But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca, ' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of H*ck.

Matthew 5:29

If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into H*ck.

Matthew 5:30

And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into H*ck.

----

PS (he doesnt actually say H*ck in any of those verse )

You see 'ol Matt here isn't afraid to say HELL. and i dont think god threw one of his apostles into HELL for talking about HELL. so if matt can i think your son should be able to also.

You cannot save anyone's soul. Only Jesus is able. But you can pray for your son. The New Testament has all kinds of scripture verses, just open your Bible and look.

Did that make you mad?

You're so scared of sinning that you even censored heck. Heck heck heck.

As long as it is used in the right context, it's not a sin, see?:

The man is over 18. It's his life and his choice, regardless of your "good" intentions for him. Does he tell you how to live your life?

If this is the worst thing your son has done, you should be damn thankful that you have a wonderful son. Quit talking about "heck" and tell the kid you love him.

You can't even type "heck"??? That's about the most anal, uptight behavior I've run into on this board.

Throw the kid out of the house; you'll be doing him a HUGE favor.

don't worry, all typed words do not hold biblical meaning, and since your son did not SAY the unholy word, but TYPED it rather, he will not burn in its fiery depths.
