Before I begin, I'd like to say that I'm a 17-year-old blonde-haired, blue-eyed male. As I have mentioned earlier, I have Hispanic friends -- Mestizos, to be specific -- that receive grades that are above average and seem smart, but I still view the race as less intelligent than Caucasians or East Asians. If I had to think about it, my sub-conscious mentale would probably point toward the direction of the age-old saying: "Even a broken clock is right twice a day!"
Every time I try to "self-cure" my racism, I end up making the situation worse. I look up information regarding IQ, income inequality, etcetera; however, it always results in favoring my current, well-researched beliefs. The average Caucasian generally has a 15-point "lead" on IQ tests than his or her African-American counterparts. East Asians are slightly higher, with an average of 105 on the IQ tests. Even when the socio-economic factor is accounted for, the IQ difference (from highest to lowest) by race always follows this order: East Asian, Caucasian, Hispanic, African-American, African, Indigenous Australian.
The differences in income inequality and standardaized tests are prominent as well. While I do not currently have the figures (you can research them, if you want), the average income by race follows the same order as the IQ averages. The same order is shown on standardized tests, like the SATS.
As previously mentioned, I do not simply want to suppress my racist views; I want to get rid of them. I would elaborate more, but the 5,000-word limit has "arrived." Help?
