Question:
Do animals go to Heaven?
nothing
2014-05-16 08:50:32 UTC
Will animals be allowed in Heaven? Would there be restrictions on the type of animal, like a pet cat or dog will be reunited with its owner in Heaven? But if all animals have souls and can go to Heaven, millions of animals are killed every day for meat, so do they all go somewhere in the afterlife?

Your question is a great one. The Bible doesn't address the question. I watch the trucks lumbering down the road loaded with stacked chickens in the little cages headed to be slaughtered. The roadside is littered with the ones that wedged themselves out early, only to be smashed on the hard pavement. The variety used for eggs is different so the males are all thrown straight into grinders as they hatch. The results of our lawlessness is terrible as we drive down the road and see all of the wildlife with tire marks running across them. Hebrews 1:1-3 KJV and Hebrews 11:3 KJV tells us that God through His Son created the worlds, and all that was created. We are the only world that sinned. I don't expect to see all of the animals in heaven or on the other worlds. Sin isn't fair and it isn't without painful consequences. I will expect to find animals in heaven and in the earth made new that have a special affection and closeness for us like our old pets. Our Creator sees each sparrow that falls. I think to often we forget that He experiences the pain that we inflict on His creation. In eternity we will never wish that we could go back in time to this old world of pain, sickness, suffering, and death. For us as individuals I take hope in Psalms 87:6. God takes into consideration even where a man was born. Some of us have had much less opportunities than others.

What God offered man can be found at Genesis 2:16,17. It was not heaven or hell. See also Psalm 37:9,10,11 and 29.

He made no such offer to any animal.

As much as we would like to think that our beloved pets will be with us in the next world, they will not. However, we will have no memory of them and we will have plenty of animals there. You will be able to play with tigers and elephants if you like.

This may not be the answer you wanted but it is the truthful one from the bible.

If all life on earth has a soul then the question is how does one go to heaven or hell? In Christianity the original sin was committed by Adam and Eve in which they ate the fruit of knowledge in defiance of God's order. The second sin was committed when Cain killed his brother Abel. These are sins that grandfathered over the generations.

Later, death of Jesus resolve those sins and that humanity can be redeemed if people acknowledge Jesus's death washes their all sin.

From Christianity stand point, let say a new born died during birth, would the new born go to heaven? The answer is yes, because again death of Jesus washed the original sin committed by Adam and Even, Cain and Abel and since the new born had yet grown up to commit crime or sin, the baby would be allowed in Heaven.

Now, if one to apply the same reasoning to animals then only thing that remains is do animal have a soul?

Will animals be allowed in Heaven?

yes

Would there be restrictions on the type of animal, like a pet cat or dog will be reunited with its owner in Heaven?

christian owners, their children and animals ... are separate from heathens ... special.

But if all animals have souls and can go to Heaven, millions of animals are killed every day for meat, so do they all go somewhere in the afterlife?

animals for food vs animals as pets ... make a DISTINCTION, please.

They go to either heaven or hell just like us

Heaven, hell, talking snakes, navel-less people, unicorns are all imaginary.... and dead is dead. People don't go to imaginary places, nor do animals.

You get one life on this planet, of about 80 or so years. And when it is over, it is indeed over. So, don't waste yourlife thinking about something that doesn't exist.

Heaven and hell is a Christian invention, only 2000 or so years old. In Judaism, Death, was Sheol... the grave....a common fate of all living things. Ya know? Accept reality. It makes life beautiful.

Most pets on the planet are animals infested with the little love angels of God to comfort their owners, even when man shuns him (her). Some people may only have an animal as a friend, but that animal is the angle sent by God to let this person know they are loved. When the pet dies, the angel and all the personality returns to heaven, where the former pet owner will recognize it when they also make the journey.

I seriously doubt that "pets" are killed for meat.

I don't believe animals have souls. They have something, but not anything as complex as a human soul. I dont think animals go to heaven either. Their souls may be reincarnated or something after their deaths. I do believe tht there are animals in heaven, but they are not creatures tht have died an gone to heaven. Tho animals aren't required in heaven because you do not need to eat. Although you can eat and you can have animals, but this is just to make you happy.

I may be wrong, know one knows for sure what awaits us after death

God bless

No, they will be present in the Judgment Day only, to give testimony, after that they will be reduced.

Is. 11: 6-8 The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, and the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the hole of the cobra, and the young child put his hand into the viper's nest. This passage may refer to the millennium, but could also refer to the new heavens and new earth.

Pets, yes .... Wild animals, no.

[Not enough room on planet Heaven for all the wild animals who have died on Earth.]

Most Christians say no but I disagree. I believe they will.

Personal experience.

Well, even if it was proven heaven is real and a soul is real, no one here would know the answer to your question.

Don Bluth said all dogs go to heaven.
